One of the most vulnerable Democrats in the Senate my have just gotten more vulnerable.

In an interview aired Wednesday morning on MSNBC's "Morning Joe," Sen. Mark Pryor, D-Ark., said his GOP opponent, Rep. Tom Cotton, feels entitled to the seat because of his service as an Army infantry officer in Afghanistan and Iraq.

"There's a lot of people in the Senate that didn't serve in the military. ... I think it's part of this sense of entitlement that he gives off — almost as like 'I served my country, therefore elect me to the Senate.' That's not how it works in Arkansas," said Pryor, who holds the Senate seat his father held for almost 20 years.

Cotton, who's in his first term in the House, insists his military service taught him values and traits that "we need more of in Washington, D.C."

There ARE exceptions to every rule. McCain, Kerry, Duckworth as examples.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Is it telling also that you didn’t bother to add Congressman Duncan Hunter who also served in Vietnam along with McCain and Kerry..

Hunter who was in the Army fighting in country..

with a hero much decorated father who fought in the Marines during WWII

and a hero son who was also in the Marines and fought in Iraq and Afghanistan and now has his fathers old seat in Congress..

I guess in 2008 you weren’t looking for a Duncan Hunter ..

and maybe in 2008 this was not so important..

“With a Vet (with 2 combat tours, no less) in the race, it sure at hell does matter. Shows who is willing to put their life where their mouth is. The Citizen who is willing to make that sacrifice stands head and shoulders above those who shirk the first duty of a Citizen -”

because Congressman Duncan Hunter sure did fit the bill that year...

unlike your draft dodging boy Willard..

Hunter was blown out in the run up to the election...not enough support for whatever reason...but I liked him.

Having said that, Romney is who survived the primary and who we ran for office. We lost.

So get over it. Please.....and stop trying to replay a lost election. the same stuff I keep seeing on nearly every thread on FR.

Is their some sort of point to it?

If so I do not get it....because if we cannot get behind a good candidate and get him/her through the primary and into the general, it does not matter if you have ten Duncans. The consensus candidate will get the bucks and go to the dance.

Levin Rule:

You Vote your Candidate in the Primary and you Vote your Party’s Candidate in the General.

Don’t follow the Levin Rule, you get Obama, twice...

But hey, it’s so much easier to bash the guy that lost instead of blaming the guy that won because Four Million people that should have Voted for the guy that lost didn’t show up out of spite.

(Run on sentence, don’t care, after all what difference does it make now?)

If you didn’t support the last Republican standing in the General, don’t whine about the Democrat, Socialist, Communist, Tyrant who beat him fair and square (sort of).

No need to start a flame war over my Comment. It’s the same old, same old. Boo, Hiss, Romney Lover, RINO lover. LOL

Actually, I’m an America Lover who understands that Election have consequences, very bad consequences.

Remember, Obama and Romney are exactly the same, really...

Carry on, I’m going to bed.

When you’re a Democratic candidate and even MSNBC can’t bring itself to cover for you...you are done.

Let’s hope. Until I see the results, I don’t trust anything. Cornyn proves that.

Well, you don’t really know who I supported at any point is any campaign. Romney is not “my boy”. And Vet status is not my sole selection factor.

I’m talking about the presidential election, not the primaries. Had Hunter been there, I would’ve voted for him. We all start somewhere, but at some point, we have to choose the lesser of 2 evils. I started at the precinct caucus for anyone but Romney. Did you even bother to engage, or did you just cut and run because “your boy” didn’t even make it to the primary?

BTW, it was McLame/Palin for president in 2008, not Romney. And I sure as heck didn’t for McLame - I voted for Palin.

So did you even vote, or did you just take your ball and stay home/vote for someone else because you didn’t get your way? If the latter, thank you so very much for handing the pin-prick-in-chief (who apparently didn’t even bother to register for the Selective Service) a second term.

Good news, bad news.

Bad news, this is a truly offensive statement.

Good news, Pryor wouldn’t have said this if he were confident of winning reelection. He was no better than 50/50 before and this will only hurt hum.

He’s done. I see nothing at this point that will turn this around. It’s appalling. Had Tim Hutchinson not screwed up during his single term, Pryor would never have made it to DC. That the GOP allowed him to go unchallenged in 2008 took the cake. And we wonder why it’s called the “Stupid Party.”

This ****ing twerp is accusing someone else of having a sense of entitlement? That’s rich. He’d be a public defender or used car salesman if his daddy hadn’t been a Senator.

In the late Robert A. Heinlein's novel Starship Troopers only veterans can vote or hold elected office. Maybe we should start looking at some version of that.
