Oh yeah, I had forgotten about the Ozone causing the significant weakening of the carpet fibers followed by OSHA declaring carpets were no longer safe for flying.

IIRC, it was the legislation that mandated they had to have restraint systems and airbags, coupled with the union carpet maker demands that did them in.

Sigh. If only people had listened to me and put all their efforts in developing flying cars.
