Ralph Peters is one of my favorite authors of modern fiction, in no small part because of his talent for creating real characters and then putting them (and the reader) through absolute hell. But that’s nothing compared to what the retired Army LTC had to say on Fox last night:
Look, the bottom line on this is Russia has a real leader. You may not like him, and I don’t, but he is brilliant and ruthless, he has clear goals and he moves straight toward those goals. The West lacks a leader. Like it or not, the president of the United States is the de facto leader of the West, and our president just is — he’s incapable and unwilling to lead.
The weakness is phenomenal. Now, you know, we are not weaker than we were in the Carter years. I was in that military, it was pathetic. Our military today is the best in the world, best in our history, although Obama wants to dismantle it. We’re also immensely wealthier than the Carter years. The problem is, that as a president Obama is far weaker than Carter, and he’s probably the worst president we’ve ever had.
He is a man who’s incapable of making a hard decision. And by the way, one other key point, Vladimir Putin believes in Russia. He believes in Russia’s destiny, its mission. Obama does not believe in American exceptionalism. He does not believe in this country.

Obama LOVES being thought of as a weak, incompetent buffoon. He’s happy that he’s considered another Chamberlain.
This provides good cover for what he really is and throws people right off track.

Franco’s rationale in suspending elections (right up to his death) was that the government they overthrew was lawfully elected, then simply ignored Spain’s laws (like Obama does now). What drove him to join the army revolt in 1936 was the wholesale destruction of Church buildings right in front of government officials without law enforcement lifting a finger to stop it. While we had our Vietnam experience and our WASP culture collapsed in the 1960s, Spain enjoyed peace and relative prosperity; sadly, after Franco’s passing, they caught up to us in our degeneration.
The problem is increasingly the electorate but also the fact that not one democrat senator was honest or principled enough to vote against obamacare. It just took one.
The problem has become the power structure of the parties. There are so many perks and privileges that come with political office that few go against the prevailing wishes of a majority leader. Howie Carr spoke of one Mass. senator that votes with the leader just so that he can keep his private office bathroom.
I do believe our representative republic system had become more venal than a parliamentarian one. Add to that no ID for voting, and you have rule by the pop culture vox populi.
You are of course correct that it was hidden by the MSM. But, a huge portion of the masses don’t even watch or read the MSM.
Ultra-wealthy conservatives purchasing MSM components may be a possibility, but I think highly unlikely. Great idea, but I’d expect the MSM/libs/Dems/Marxists to find a way to prevent it.
No, we can’t do much about a stupid electorate - the gov. educational system is brainwashing/pumping them out in such a volume that we are past the point of return. Part of the original Marxist plan in the 40’s.

That is assuming that the 2012 election was legitimate and all the mountains of Cook-County fraud in key states and key counties did not select our Dictator for us - which is exactly what I contend happened.
Call it a 'stolen' election or 'fraud' - the fact is that nationally-impacted elections will be decided by the Ruling Class and orchestrating theater to create an illusion of choice - same as it was done in the Soviet Union.
