Now remember that the primary is not the general, and keep running until you cross the real finish line.

All the evil plans of the Empire are failing even with all their money in Texas. I guess they think everyone can be bought and aren’t used to people who can think on their own who have morals and principles that are worth more than money.

The senate lessons: 1) start early, 2) come out swinging, 3) and engage with the grassroots.

GOPe strategy - be nice to everyone except your own base.

I was once in central Texas during winter and saw the biggest snowflakes I’ve ever see. They were nearly the size of silver dollars! lol

True that. I know people who have worked inside the GOP and they verify what you’ve said. The party wants your money and your votes (in that order) but not your convictions or principles.

That’s good. I’m always looking for simpler ways to say the same things without being so “wordy”...

In Kaufman County, winning the primary is like winning the election as many positions are unopposed in the general election.

Tea Party big wins were: RINO Rep Lance Gooden unseated by Stuart Spitzer and RINO Senator Bob Deuell in a run-off with Bob Hall. Most of the other positions were won outright - there’s only one run-off other than Deuell’s that I’ll vote for in May.

"The senate lessons: 1) start early, 2) come out swinging, 3) and engage with the grassroots."

Don Huffines did all three of those things and beat a 24 year incumbent Senator. I don't know how much shoe leather he wore out, but he knocked on my door one Sunday and talked to me for a good ten minutes.

There's a Breitbart just for Texas? And you didn't tell me about it?

Give up the link, homie!

We have two problems in TN open primaries and lack of funding for a Conservative running against a big money bag RINO incumbent like lamar alexander. We still have no idea who the demwit will be, so voters will play it safe and choose RINO lamar who is 73. Conservative State Rep Joe Carr is his GOP opponent. Little funding, not enough exposure, not enough told about his voting record, which is way more conservative than lamar’s RINO one. http://www.carrfortn.com/

And when 2 conservatives run against a RINO, the RINO always wins. Just because the behind in the polls in single digits conservative will not back down and throw their support to the favorite one. Those 9 or 10 pts would have put over top the RINO. and make it easier to keep the seat or oust a Dem.

National GOP orgs only want RINOS.

One writer believes that IA’s should be able to stay and work the other represents the TX construction industry (Price). Stranahan and Darby worked in tandem to knock out Stockman.

It looks to me like the Republicans vastly outvoted the Dems in all the primary races. For instance, in the gubernatorial primary, the total votes cast by the Democrats was roughly 304,000, while the Republican total was roughly 711,000.

It's easy for the press to disguise these numbers by only talking about percentages, and not total numbers of votes.

It will be interesting to see the numbers of votes cast in the full election, and if any of those Dems crossed over to vote Republican.
