Reports are that Reuters will be hit with a copyright infringement lawsuit on the unauthorized use of the term Illegal Farce for use for other than the Obama Administration.
Governments throughout history have always demonized those that seek to separate or secede from them, and form a government more in tune with their beliefs. If they people of a certain region do not get along with the other part, say Iraq or Libya or Ukraine, why does it matter if they split up? Other than the national government not wanting the embarrassment, loss of land and tax money, etc.
A peaceful separation something like the Czech Republic and Slovakia would be a better alternative than an armed conflict over either part of Ukraine, plus the interim Ukranian government is also open to charges that it is not legitimate.
This is the same US gov that arrested veterans for the crime of demanding entrance to their memorials.
The Kiev authorities know their act is just a rhetorical gesture but its one bound to backfire. If anything, it makes Crimea even more determined to leave Ukraine.
