World Net Daily: U.S. siding with neo-Nazis
World Net Daily ^ | 3-4-14 | E. Michael Maloof

A knowledgeable Ukrainian source in Stanford, Calif, told WND the “real power in Kiev and much of Western Ukraine today belongs to several rival neo-Nazi factions whose masked, well-armed adherents are busy looting abandoned properties and shaking down businesses for money to support their ‘revolution.’”

“They have already made territorial demands to each of the countries bordering the Ukraine, including the NATO members Poland, Hungary and Romania, and they have declared their intention to acquire nuclear weapons,” the source said.

Other European neo-Nazi parties, such as Jobbik in Hungary and the Golden Dawn in Greece, are “amateurs compared to Ukraine’s Svoboda and Right Sector,” said the source.

The Ukrainian groups use “the same slogans and the same Nazi symbols they used in 1941-1944, when they butchered 200,000-300,000 Poles and Jews, and in 1945-1954, when they butchered in the most gruesome ways imaginable tens of thousands of peaceful Ukrainian citizens whose only crime was to refuse joining their ranks.”

We can't afford to be knuckleheads on this and let a knee jerk anti-Putin reaction blind us to the topological realities.

Correct. We have helped neo-Nazi crazies take over part of Ukraine and this will spread.

Putin is not a good guy. There are several groups manipulating the situation but that doesn’t make him a good guy.

Pretty much what we did in North Africa.

World Nut Daily falling for Russian propaganda that all the opposition are neo-nazi’s. It is a ridiculous assertion that only neo-nazi’ oppose the partition of Ukraine or only the neo-nazi’s opposed the corrupt dictator.

That’s what I heard. Putin has his propaganda machine out in full force to gain support for his takeover of the Ukraine. WND has fallen for it.

Like the good old times, when the Soviets were taking over Eastern Europe, murdering patriots whom they and their Western lackeys called ‘Nazis’! There no no paid lackeys here (that I know of), but we’ve got plenty useful idiots.

It's been 70 years since WWII. It's been 23 years since the collapse of the Soviet Union. Why are we only now hearing about “neo Nazis” in Ukraine?

There's an uncomfortably warm war happening in Ukraine, with several sides. As in all wars, truth was the first casualty. There's no doubt in my mind that there are some neo Nazis in the Ukraine — just as there are in the USA, Canada, and other European countries. There's also no doubt in my mind that there are some Stalinist Communists in parts of the Ukraine, and Russia (to say nothing about the U.S.A., Canada, etc.) Those kernels of truth were necessary to formulate propaganda for all sides — but, propaganda is to truth as a crack ho is to a virgin bride.

There's a large contingent of the Ukrainian diaspora in Canada; and no country could ask for better citizens. If any are neo-Nazis, they've kept that fact very well hidden indeed.

And Putin is a dangerous psychotic tyrant, but that doesn't make the people fighting him necessarily anything other than neo nazi crazies.

Given recent foreign policy this should surprise no-one.

True. And they maintain very close ties with islamofascists in the Caucasus and the Crimea. I wouldn’t be surprised if I hear these thugs have been fighting for al-Quaeda in Syria and the Arab muzzies are now gladly giving them a helping hand in the Ukraine...

There is a handful of posters here relentlessly peddling the Russian propaganda trying to scare us with some Nazis, 70 years after World War II, and the dissolution of the German NSDAP political party, and 100+ million victims of the Communist Utopia

Yes sometimes they are. The people of the Ukraine are good people. There are many other forces which are not so good.

The Ukraine is important strategically due to its location and natural resources.

Can someone please tell me what specific tenets of the political philosophy of these protesters makes them “neo-nazis”?

Apart from the fact that they oppose Putin (which on the surface is a good thing) I know little about them.

Putin was a Lieutenant Colonel in the KGB. No one should ever forget that.
In order to be an officer in the KGB you needed to be a hard core communist true believer.
