Three of the six Ohio House members who challenged Republican Governor John Kasichs enactment of the Obamacare Medicaid expansion in court have been denied the endorsement of the Ohio Republican Party (ORP).
Questioned after a February 28 ORP Central Committee meeting where the committee voted on its 2014 slate, Party Chairman Matt Borges told reporters the House GOP caucus did not recommend Rep. John Becker (R-Union Twp.) or Rep. Ron Maag (R-Salem Twp.) for endorsement.
Borges claimed he didnt know why their names were not submitted.
Later that day, Cincinnati Enquirer reporter Chrissie Thompson cited an anonymous House GOP source who told her Becker, Maag, and Rep. Ron Hood (R-Ashville) were not endorsed because they have not supported the unity of the Republican Party.
House Speaker Bill Batchelder (R-Medina) is a close ally of Gov. Kasich. Despite resisting months of pressure from the governor to expand Medicaid last year, Batchelder ultimately helped Kasich circumvent his caucus for Obamacare funding.
Whats really confusing about whats going on here is, this is unprecedented, Rep. Becker told Media Trackers on March 3. The caucus has never blackballed people before, unless theyre under indictment or have multiple DUIs or something of that nature.
Of six Republican legislators who sued to stop Gov. Kasichs legally dubious Obamacare expansion, just two Rep. Andy Thompson (R-Marietta) and Rep. Ron Young (R-Leroy Twp.) now have ORPs support for their reelection campaigns.

It seems like elected Republicans support ACA more than elected Democrats. Democrats actually admit it’s bad. A lot of Republicans will do anything to rescue it.
I’m glad Kasich has shown himself to be a fraud before winning an even higher office.
Kasich, Jebbie Bush, Doughnut Boy, McCainiac, Grahamnesty—the list of fraudulent labeled “conservatives” is very lengthy.
The lack of endorsements has nothing to do with Obamacare.
It looks like Kasich is purging the conservative ranks, and has fallen quite naturally into the the inside the I270 crowd.
I was just posting this article.
More RINO shenanigans in OH.
To kill it puts them on the hook for a replacement of some sort. They don't want that.
What we need to understand is that many of these so-called “conservative” Republicans have made their entire career being politicians and relying on “Government” for their EGO GENERATING JOYRIDE through most of their life.
Consequently, they are going to be ‘BOEHNER’ type Republicans, when push comes to shove on who wins out on a particular issue...the average citizen or the government.
You can apply this test to all of them...the Bushes, the Ryans, the McCains, Grahams, Kasichs....all of them.
Kasich is governor of a state that went to obama due to voter fraud. And he said not one word.
They don’t support “party unity” so they’re blackballed. Obviously the gopE’s tent is getting smaller and smaller. I won’t be voting for any more of them.
OK, then why?
