INCREDIBLE! Use FR's Search box to look for keyword 'Cummings'

Gack! The result is like watching an above-ground sewage line explode. I never had any inkling as to how much crap Issa has had thrown at him by Cummings these past 3+ years.

And the Congressional Black Caucus is demanding that Issa be stripped of his gavel?

What really should be happening here is that we should all be flooding our Cong. Reps with calls to censure Cummings or at least remove him from the Oversight Committee.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely, and any racist Congressman representing a District (95.4% "urban") made up mostly of fellow racist voters, has a job for life, and therefore absolute power in his bailiwick, in the sense that he will never, ever be held accountable for anything he says or does no matter how egregious. Or at least not by his constituents anyway.

Here are excerpts taken from the FR Search-results page for keyword "Cummings" - in chronological order. Note that virtually all of his outbursts seem to be carefully planned, because with few exceptions they occur within "open letters" he sends to Chairman Issa, or during appearances on MSNBC. All these articles about his antics taken together detail his strenuous efforts to transform into a comic farce the House Oversight Committee - the one single government organ that's seriously investigating crimes & corruption at any and all levels of the Obama regime.

Elijah Cummings: I'm ready for Darrell Issa

Politico ^ | 12/30/10 | JAKE SHERMAN
Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.) has a message for House Republicans ready to launch a slew of new investigations next year: Bring it on. With Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) chairing the powerful Government Oversight and Reform Committee, Cummings is poised to be a frequent presence on television and a foil to an aggressive Republican majority which has vowed staunch oversight of the executive branch. "I live in the neighborhood where The Wire was filmed," Cummings says, trying to project some of his Baltimore toughness as he takes...

Cummings wants agreement between Issa and White House [Cummings is worried sick about threats to National Security if Issa asks White House for "sensitive" info, so Cummings offers himself as a go-between with Obama!]

The Hill ^ | 1/3/11 | Michael O'Brien
[This is before the new Congress has even met for the first time]... Cummings wants to broker an agreement between Issa and the Obama administration on the public release of sensitive information to congressional investigators. ... "I think that Mr. Issa and I should sit down and try to figure this out. Make sure the country isn't being threatened," Cummings said on Monday during an appearance on MSNBC .

Gloves come off on oversight panel as Dem calls for no 'silly or absurd' Obama probes

The Hill ^ | January 18, 2011 | Susan Crabtree
...Cummings made the remark in a letter to [Issa] spelling out his goals for the committee in the new Congress... "Together, I hope we can elevate the level of discourse not only on our Committee, but across the nation... to engage in oversight that is regarded as serious rather than dismissed as silly or absurd... rather than making unsubstantiated allegations that waste taxpayer funds... to inform and educate the American people rather than attacking opponents; and rather than launching one-sided inquiries designed to fulfill predetermined outcomes" ... Issa's office punched back and accused Cummings of obstructionism and failing to be a "serious" oversight partner. "Congressman Towns and Congresswoman Maloney were pushed aside in order to have the most effective obstructionist as Ranking Member," said Issa spokesman Frederick Hill. "This letter and other statements have only underscored concerns that Ranking Member Cummings is not interested in being a serious partner on oversight". The letter is the latest in a series of early jabs between Issa and Cummings. When it became clear that Issa would chair the panel, Democratic leaders pushed Reps. Edolphus Towns (D-N.Y.) out of the top Democratic post because he had not been aggressive countering Issa while serving as chairman for the past few years. Democrats also passed up Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-N.Y.) in favor of Cummings, for similar reasons - out of fear that she would not be able to effectively go toe to toe with Issa.

Reps. Issa, Cummings to meet on Oversight agenda after public sparring. [Issa privately invites Cummings to join him in writing to businesses, Cummings refuses, Issa does it on his own, Cummings plays Class Warfare card and Partisan Dictator Issa card]

The Hill ^ | 1/24/11 | Susan Crabtree
... the pair have clashed over a letter Issa sent to businesses requesting they outline what they consider burdensome regulations.... Cummings spoke out against Issa's decision to send a letter to 150 companies, trade associations, think tanks and scholars asking them to come up with a list of the most onerous existing and proposed regulations they think are hurting job creation and economic growth.
Cummings (D-Md.), the ranking member on the panel, has criticized Issa for the letter - arguing that it looks as if Republicans are abandoning middle-class families in favor of moneyed special interests. "Inviting businesses to tell us what they want us to do as opposed to protecting the American people certainly gives me great concern," Cummings said Tuesday on MSNBC's "Hardball."

Elijah Cummings wants to rein in Darrell Issa's subpoena power [Cummings demands right to hobble Chair's subpoena power, slowing it to a snail's pace by forcing each subpoena to be debated/voted-on by full committee]

The daily caller ^ | 1/24/11 | Jonathan Strong
Rep. Elijah Cummings, the combative foil to top GOP oversight official Rep. Darrell Issa, is making his first significant power move to cut Issa down to size, demanding authority to stop Issa from issuing congressional subpoenas "unilaterally." ... In a Jan. 24 letter to Issa, Cummings claims Issa vowed to him privately to aggressively use his subpoena power...

Cummings' objection to Issa ATF subpoena ignores own 'Gunwalker' culpability [Cummings wants his ravings about Issa's "unilateral subpoena...despite my objection" to be "memorialized" (carved into marble?)]

House Dems Set to Demonize Gun Owners with Gunwalker Forum

Pajamas Media ^ | June 30, 2011 | Bob Owens
.... The primary reason Cummings is calling this forum was clearly indicated in his actions earlier this year, when he refused to sign a letter to President Obama asking the White House to direct the Department of Justice to cooperate with the Gunwalker investigation. At the time the Oversight Committee had authored the letter asking the president to compel DOJ officials to provide documents relating to the scandal to the committee. Cummings refused to sign the letter asking for the evidence, which all other Democrats on the committee did...

Dems to spin Fast & Furious probe into gun-control rally

hotair.com ^ | June 30 | Ed Morrissey
After yesterday's news of the deal between Senators Pat Leahy and Charles Grassley ... it seemed as though Democrats might finally take the scandal of the gunrunning fiasco seriously. Alas, Elijah Cummings and House Democrats appear uninterested in abuses of government power, incompetence, and potential cover-ups at AFT and the Department of Justice. In fact, they want to turn the probe into an argument for expanding government control of firearms: The top Democrat on a House investigative committee is broadening an inquiry into a botched gun-tracing...

Obfuscation: Dems Push Gun Control To Hide "Gunwalker" Scandal ["A fish cop"?]

Pajamas Media ^ | July 16, 2011 | Bob Owens
They choose a pivotal moment in the Gunwalker investigation to announce a gun-control bill. A handful of Democratic lawmakers in Congress and a fish cop held a press conference Friday.... The proposed law has no chance of passing, and seems orchestrated as a Democratic response meant to draw attention away from the still-developing "Gunwalker" scandal: U.S. Representatives Elijah E. Cummings (D-MD), ranking member of ...

Democrats Defending Eric Holder After Subpoena [Just stunts & fishing trips, people; nothing to see here; move along, move along]

Townhall.com ^ | October 12, 2011 | Katie Pavlich
Ranking member of the House Oversight Committee Democrat Elijah Cummings has released a statement calling the decision to subpoena Attorney General Eric Holder in order to gain information about Operation Fast and Furious a "political stunt" and "deep-sea expedition." ... "This subpoena is a deep-sea fishing expedition and a gross abuse of the Committee's authority. It demands tens of thousands of pages of highly sensitive law enforcement and national security materials that have never been requested before and are completely unrelated to Operation Fast and Furious," said Cummings. "Rather than legitimate fact-gathering, this looks more like a political stunt."

Issa: Justice Dept. answers on Fast and Furious full of 'inconsistencies' [Issa should have called for Holder's firing but didn't, and in gratitude Cummings only blasts him with 5 barrels instead of the usual 6]

The Hill ^ | October 16, 2011 | Meghashyam Mali
... Issa would not call though for the attorney general's resignation, saying the issue was "for the president to decide." Rep. Elijah Cummings (Md.) the ranking Democrat on the committee however blasted Issa for failing to provide a "responsible and balanced investigation." "Chairman Issa goes out there and Republicans accusing the highest law enforcement officer in the land of being an accessory to murder, and things of that nature and calling for his resignation," said Cummings. "All we want is what I've said. We want a responsible and balanced investigation..." Cummings said that the controversial gun-tracking program was hatched by local agents in the Phoenix office and not by Holder or senior officials in Washington.

Does "fatally flawed" minority report on gunwalking "absolve" administration? [Cummings leaks to NYT that his upcoming minority report will prove Holder's halo remains untarnished, and NYT accepts his word as fact due to Cumming's stellar reputation for integrity & bipartisanship]

"Report by House Democrats Absolves Administration in Gun Trafficking Case," Charlie Savage of The New York Times would have us believe: "Democrats on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee on Tuesday are expected to publish a report on the disputed gun trafficking investigation called Operation Fast and Furious, concluding that agents in Arizona - not Obama administration officials - were responsible for the tactics used in the inquiry and for providing misleading information relayed to Congress." ... Or as Mike Vanderboegh of Sipsey Street Irregulars puts it, "Bloody Hands Cummings & White House issue a report saying that the Bushes made them do it, and besides, it was all Phoenix's fault."

Cummings plays role in Fluke saga [Another gift from Cummings to the nation]

The Baltimore Sun ^ | March , 2012 | By John Fritze
... It was Cummings who helped put [Sandra] Fluke on Washington's radar. Aides to Cummings, the ranking Democrat on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, discovered Fluke weeks ago as they were scrambling to find a witness to testify about the Obama administration's controversial contraceptive policy.

Democrat Cummings blasts Issa for 'unsubstantiated' Energy Dept. probes [He's saying the mere existence of a Solyndra investigation is a travesty]

The Hill ^ | 3/19/12 | Andrew Restuccia
Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) has launched "unsubstantiated" investigations into Energy Department projects on scant evidence, according to a senior Democrat. Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.) made the charge in a letter sent Monday to Issa, who has launched 11 different probes into Energy Department projects, including the $535 million loan guarantee to failed California solar firm Solyndra.

Elijah Cummings to Darrell Issa: Stop "witch hunt" [Once the NYT stated that Holder is "cleared," based on Cumming's yet-to-be-published report, the matter is settled! So any further investigation is by definition a Witch Hunt]

Politico ^ | 4/30/12 | DARIUS DIXON
Rep. Elijah Cummings warned Rep. Darrell Issa against turning a potential contempt resolution against Attorney General Eric Holder over the Fast and Furious scandal into "an election-year witch hunt," he wrote in a letter late last week. "Holding someone in contempt of Congress is one of the most serious and formal actions our Committee can take, and it should not be used as a political tool to generate press as part of an election-year witch hunt against the Obama Administration," the Maryland Democrat wrote Friday to Issa,

Cummings redacts key details from letter accusing Issa of omitting Fast and Furious facts [Breaking new ground in statesmanship: Send Open/Public letter to Issa making nasty accusations, with every line/word of "Proof" redacted!]

The Daily Caller ^ | 6/5/12 | Matthey Boyle
In a letter sent Tuesday, Maryland Rep. Elijah Cummings, the ranking Democrat on the House oversight committee, accused Republican committee chairman Rep. Darrell Issa of misrepresenting new evidence in the Operation Fast and Furious saga. But a copy of the letter posted on the committee Democrats' website includes long redacted sections, hiding the substance of Cummings' argument from the American people....
The letter was a response to Issa's announcement Tuesday of new evidence in the Fast and Furious saga. In a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder, Issa wrote that his committee had "obtained copies of six wiretap applications in support of seven wire intercepts utilized during Fast and Furious." ... Because the committee has this evidence now, Issa explained, they can show Holder and several other Justice Department officials in the Obama administration provided "false" statements to Congress....
But Cummings himself redacted from public view all the evidence supporting his claims, and the entire substance of his argument, with the exception of two half-sentences. "First, your letters omit the critical fact that," Cummings wrote, before blacking out several lines. He then claimed that the redacted lines show "a key omission that completely undermines your conclusions and distorts your representations."

Dem lawmaker (Cummings) slams Issa for sending US Marshals to serve subpoenas (green energy loans) [Unthinkable! To issue subpoenas via Marshals rather than email! Jackbooted Issa Thugs!! (Hey, so what if subpoenas actually were emailed to 5 DOE'ers who refused them, thus necessitating the US Marshals?) ]

thehill.com ^ | 9/11/12 | Ben Geman
Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.) says House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) is conducting his probe of federal green energy project loans with bullying tactics and November's elections in mind. Cummings, the panel's top Democrat, sent Issa a letter Monday slamming a dozen subpoenas issued last week to current and former Energy Department employees and contractors, which included use of armed U.S. Marshals to serve subpoenas at the Energy Department (DOE). The Maryland Democrat called it "intimidation," and said the GOP probe has involved "targeting individual employees and contractors with threatening telephone calls, emails and letters."
... Issa's panel has been conducting a broad probe of the Energy Department program that issued a $535 million loan guarantee to the solar panel company Solyndra, which collapsed last year. Some other loan-guarantee recipients have also faced bankruptcies and financial headwinds, but administration officials say the overall green energy loan portfolio has succeeded in creating jobs and boosting the use of renewable energy. While the Energy and Commerce Committee took the lead on the Solyndra inquiry, Issa has taken a wider look at the embattled loan program. His committee is examining the use of personal email accounts by some officials and allegations of political influence in loan decisions.
... Cummings's letter says Issa's tactics are especially unnecessary because DOE has been "tremendously" cooperative with the panel's probe... "Attempting to circumvent the Department's General Counsel's Office by pursuing employees directly has increased the sense of intimidation among these employees and forced them to hire private counsel at considerable expense," the letter states.
Frederick Hill, a spokesman for Issa, called Cummings's complaints "without merit." "The evidence shows that the use of non-official email accounts at the Department of Energy was part of an intentional and widespread effort to hide discussions about coordination with private-sector companies and interactions with the White House about loans to political supporters," he said. Hill also said that the decision was made to use the U.S. Marshals only after five DOE employees refused to be served via e-mail. "Before the Obama administration took office, Oversight Committee Democrats actually investigated concerns about the use of non-official email accounts violating federal recordkeeping and transparency laws. Under the Obama administration, however, they've taken an anything-goes approach to such violations," Hill said.

Democrats Harassing Voter Integrity Group True the Vote (Elijah Cummings) [This story of EC's abuse of power resurfaced 2/6/14. See further down the page]

Townhall.com ^ | October 9, 2012 | Katie Pavlich
Ranking Member of the House Oversight Committee Elijah Cummings is harassing the voter integrity group True the Vote, which is led by President Catherine Engelbrecht. Cummings is asking the group to produce a number of documents by October 14 and sent a letter to Engelbrecht last week [October 5] expressing his concern with the group's "illegimate voter registration challenges," or in other words, efforts to expose voter fraud. "In order to examine why your organization appears to be responsible for so many illegitimate voter registration challenges, I request that you provide the following information and documents:...." [Incredibly long list of demands that would take months to comply with, but he's demanding it in less than 9 days. And he has the chutzpah to sign it "Sincerely"!] ... Cummings has a long history of blocking Voter I.D. laws and is an avid supporter of Attorney General Eric Holder.

A little-noticed brief filed ... Elijah Cummings and fellow Democrats [Conyers, Waxman, Towns, Slaughter] asks the United States District Court for the District of Columbia to dismiss without prejudice the civil complaint by the Oversight Committee against Eric Holder following the Attorney General being found in contempt of Congress for refusing to produce subpoenaed documents related to the Fast and Furious gunwalking investigation. Rep. Cummings accuses House Oversight Committee Republicans of leaking [Defn of "Leak" = anything Issa says that Cummings didn't vet. Accuses Issa of partisanship, in stark contrast to Cumming's own stellar bipartisan behavior]

Gretawire ^ | May 6, 2013 | Greta Van Susteren [Cummings] ... re allegations relating to Benghazi: "I believe Congress should conduct investigations - particularly those involving our national security - in a bipartisan and responsible manner.... I also believe Members of Congress have an obligation to actually investigate claims before coming to conclusions and making public accusations. Unfortunately, House Republicans have taken the opposite approach. They issued a partisan report with reckless and false accusations against the former Secretary of State... they have leaked snippets of interview transcripts to national media outlets in a selective and distorted manner to drum up publicity for their hearing. ....

Elijah Cummings: Gregory Hicks' Benghazi comments distorted (Alinsky: divert/obfuscate) ["Distorted" = anything truthful said by the GOP that's managed to avoid warping/mangling by the Left's spin machines]

politico ^ | 5/10/13 | GINGER GIBSON
The top Democrat on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee is accusing Republicans of distorting the remarks of a star witness testifying before the panel this week on Benghazi. Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.), sent letter to Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) on Friday asking that omitted portions of Gregory Hicks's testimony be added to the record... On Friday, Cummings provided several additional details of Hicks pre-hearing interview that were omitted from the record ... [So now it's Cummings who is "leaking snippets to national media outlets," just 4 days after he decried others doing the same?]

Dem Rep. Claims Benghazi Witness Changed His Story: GOPers Were "Trying To Put Words In His Mouth" [Essentially implies NYT is a rightwing mouthpiece for contradicting him]

Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD) paid a visit to MSNBC's 'Morning Joe' ... alleging that Republicans tried to change [Hicks'] story in a way that contradicted his sworn testimony. .... At that point, [host] Joe Scarborough interjected to question [Cummings' claim]. He pointed to the story about the incident in the New York Times, reminding Cummings that the Times isn't quite a right-wing outlet. "Are you telling me Mr. Hicks changed his story?" Scarborough pressed. "That is exactly right," Cummings replied. ... Cummings (who, you may recall, criticized GOP Rep. Darrell Issa for "politicizing" Benghazi during Wednesday's hearing) ...

True Scandal [Lots more on the True-The-Vote gang-rape later - Feb 2014]

NRO ^ | May 20, 2013 | Jillian Kay Melchior
A tea-party group targeted by Democrats gets attention from the IRS - and the FBI, OSHA, and the ATF. [And by the Senate - Barbara Boxer - and by the House - guess who?] ... Elijah Cummings (D., Md.), the ranking minority member of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, attacked True the Vote in a letter. He wrote that "some have suggested that your true goal is not voter integrity, but voter suppression against thousands of legitimate voters who traditionally vote for Democratic candidates." He added that: "If these efforts are intentional, politically motivated, and widespread across multiple states, they could amount to a criminal conspiracy to deny legitimate voters their constitutional rights." He also decried True the Vote on MSNBC and CNN.

Congressman Worries About "Chilling Effect" Of Scandal -- On IRS! [Chilling! Issa is trampling on the God-given Free Speech rights of Democrats embedded deep within the IRS to choose which conservatives they're going to harrass]

The Weekly Standard ^ | May 22,2013 | Daniel Halper
"Let me tell you what I'm really concerned about in addition to all the other things that I've said," said Cummings. "I'm concerned that all of this may have a chilling effect on employees where they say you know, when normally we would look at certain criteria fairly, not targeting anyone but say uh-oh, I'm worried because I'd better let this go."

IRS manager: White House not involved in reviews (LOL) ["A conservative Republican in the IRS did it! No I won't reveal his name, but I have it and 30 other names on this paper in my hand; the same paper I waved to the Wheeling, WV Ladies' Club!"]

pioneer press ^ | 6-9-13 | Administration Propaganda
WASHINGTON - The top Democrat on the House's watchdog committee says a self-described "conservative Republican" has told investigators that no one at the White House directed the Internal Revenue Service to target tea party groups.

Five IRS Scandal Myths: "Rogue agents," apolitical targeting, and a limited time frame? Not so fast. [Prominently mentions the dis-Honorable Congressman from Maryland]

National Review ^ | 06/10/2013 | Andrew Stiles
The Obama administration and its defenders have done their best to downplay the IRS's targeting of conservative groups, and to distance the president from the scandal. But in doing so they have made numerous claims that have that turned out to be grossly misleading - at best. 1. It was a few rogue agents in Cincinnati. This claim has crumbled in recent weeks.... 2. The targeting stopped in 2012... 3. Liberal groups were also targeted... 4. Absolutely no political motivations... 5. The case is "solved" - Elijah Cummings, ranking member on the House Oversight Committee, seems to think so. "Based upon everything I've seen, the case is solved," he said Sunday on CNN's State of the Union. "If it were me, I would wrap this case up and move on." Committee chairman Darrell Issa (R., Calif.), certainly disagrees. And so does the Treasury's inspector general, who has emphasized that the findings of his audit are merely preliminary, and that many details are "still to be determined." Lerner, a central figure in the scandal, has declined to testify, despite being urged to do so by newly appointed IRS commissioner Danny Werfel.

Cummings: Unnamed "conservative Republican" behind IRS abuse [No I still won't name him, but I'll wave this paper containing his name (and names of rightwing sleeper agents in the State Dept and Army) really fast in the air]

Daily Caller ^ | 6/11/13 | Patrick Howley
Rep. Elijah Cummings has yet to reveal the name of the "conservative Republican" IRS agent he claims started the agency's improper targeting of conservative groups, despite evidence that the targeting was overseen by a registered Democrat working out of Washington, D.C. Cummings, a Democrat... claimed this week that an unnamed Republican manager in the IRS's Cincinnati office started the agency's targeting of conservative groups, and that "the case is solved" with no evidence of White House wrongdoing. Cummings claimed in a letter to Republican Oversight Committee chairman Darrell Issa, dated June 9, that his staff ...

Tea Party Leader Filing Ethics Complaint Against Dem Rep

Breitbart ^ | 2/6/14 | Matthew Boyle
One of the most high-profile victims of the IRS Tea Party targeting scandal is planning to unveil surprising new allegations about the top Democrat on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee at a hearing this morning. Catherine Engelbrecht, the head of election integrity group True The Vote and Tea Party group King Street Patriots, alleges Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD) demanded information from her group in a similar manner to the IRS, according to her testimony. "Hours after sending letters, he would appear on cable news and publicly defame me and my organization," Engelbrecht said...
... filing a formal ethics complaint against Cummings with the Office of Congressional Ethics, ... Engelbrecht offers the painstaking details of how the IRS and administration as a whole targeted her, noting "my private businesses, my nonprofit organizations, and family have been subjected to more than 15 instances of audit or inquiry by federal agencies." Engelbrecht said she is disgusted with Cummings' behavior, and that Cummings was engaged in activity that "misrepresent[s] this governing body in an effort to demonize and intimidate citizens."

Dem Rep. Sent Three Threatening Letters to Conservative Activist Using Committee Letterhead (Video)

The Gateway Pundit ^ | 2/62014 | Jim Hoft
This afternoon True the Vote founder Catherine Engelbrecht filed an ethics complaint against Rep. Elijah Cummings alleging the Congressmen intimidated her and and her group. Rep. Elijah Cummings on three separate occasions sent letters from the House Oversight and Government Reform, stating that he had concerns and felt it necessary to open an investigation on True the Vote. The Congressman also smeared True the Vote in several cable news interviews in 2012. In the hearing today, Cummings accused True the Vote of racism saying that they were trying to suppress the vote. Catherine Engelbrecht was on with Megyn Kelly tonight: "Franky, Megyn, the thought of having to sit before my accuser and be silent in the face of what we did was unconscionable! He filed over a period of months in 2012, he filed three letters that he sent to me asserting that he was opening an investigation. He sent this on House Oversight and Government Reform letterhead."

Yup. Pretty amazing. Like a bad penny, the "designated bastard" dogging the GOP chair like a rabid dog, seemingly asking for a rabid dog's fate.

Pretty much the same thing John Glenn once did on D'Amato's Senate Banking Committee, twenty years ago, on behalf of Hillary Clinton.

He was eventually rewarded with a made-up geriatric Space Shuttle ride for his troubles, on Columbia no less.

Can we pack Elijah into a Soyuz?

Can't you just see the slaves and the overseers, and smell the smoke and the blood and the flames, and hear Bull Connor's snarling police dogs, over and over and over and over and over and over again?

Why I'll just bet over on MSNBC they're singing those old Neil Young lyrics 'til their voices are hoarse:

"AH HEAR SCREEEEEEEAMIN' ! AN' BULLWHIPS CRAAAAAAAAACKIN' ! ..... NOW YOUR CROSSSSSSSSES ARE BURNIN' FAA-AA-AAST!"

The opportunity to call Issa a racist is the legacy of the community organizer’s presidency. The man stands for nothing beyond social agitation.

Yup! Nothing the same about the two issues.
You are calling a whole state full of people, where probably 40% or more are good decent folks, like most of the people in AZ, an undeserved, disparaging gutter name. I have family in AZ. I used to work in AZ (Casa Grande). I have a BIL who was forced to move out of his first home in Phoenix because of the daily gunfire. But I would not make disparaging remarks about AZ based on any of what I know about the state because I know there are both good and bad folks there. I guess with you, it’s easier to “blame” whatever perceived troubles you have on someone else, just like most of the AA’s do. Whatever Arizona’s political problems are, I seriously doubt that transplanted Californians have had much to do with it. I guess, in truth, I could push the “our problem” back on the Liberals who came to CA from the East Coast (you know like Boxer and Pelosi), but as notorious as they are, they are a very small part of what has happened here. In the final analysis, you had better hope that we find our way back, because if we don’t, you most certainly will eventually feel the effects.
Cummings on the other hand, is Black Marxist POS who is wantonly trying to destroy the country. When I pray, I pray for the Lord to help the good guys.

Then take back your three strikers, your gang bangers, your meth labs, your porn chicks, your enviro nuts, your left wing pols and the Californicators intent on trashing my state. The 100 or so good people remaining in Cali gotta be lonely by now.

Because we unwillingly imported a hell of a lot of the above from your blessed self-destroyed rathole.

PS, when is the Folsom Street Fair this year? I hear it’s a cultural milestone of traditional value.

Good night Norm. I should have known better than to wrestle with a pig. You like it and now I have to go take a shower.

With Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) chairing the powerful Government Oversight and Reform Committee

Is there a congressional committee that *isn't* powerful?
