Dan Quayle might have been correct. I was taught in grade school that either potato or potatoe was correct. The same with the word tomato.
Apparently, he was taught the same.
Miss Ellithorpe was a nasty teacher. Very strict. Now I thank her, but back then she was greatly feared. God forbid you should dangle a participle or misspell a word. LOL
I suspect that the change in lettering came in with the NEA.

Don't forget he also said that there was 57 STATES...Actually, he alluded to there being 61 states, but no one ever gets that correct. Yes Ann, I am anal and a stickler for details from time to time.
The communist bastard never said that there were 57 states. It just gets repeated over and over. It does sound funny though.

Period.
If Obama can't spell or doesn't know how many States are in the United States the MSM gives him a pass. Then the press makes an excuse for themselves... an excuse so lame that no one believes them... It's embarrassing.
