(Oregon immigrants, allies head to California border supporting undocumented group attempting to cross )

Eight Oregon immigrants and allies left Thursday for San Diego, where they will join hundreds more from around the United States to support at least 150 undocumented deportees attempting to cross back into the country from Mexico. The border crossing effort is part of the Bring Them Home project led by the National Immigrant Youth Alliance to unite families separated by record deportations under the Obama administration. Nearly 2 million immigrants have been deported since the president took office.

The undocumented immigrants, whose families live in cities across the U.S., will attempt to cross the border at the Otay Mesa point of entry on March 10. One of those immigrants was deported from Portland.

Maria Angela Zapoteco Juárez moved with her two children to the U.S. from Mexico in 1990. She was deported six years ago but hopes to reunite with her two daughters and grandchildren in Oregon, according to a media release from Oregon DreamActivist, the organization leading the state delegation. Her daughter Ally Ruiz is one of the leading local organizers with Bring Them Home.

Another local leader is Liliana Luna, 23, of Hillsboro. The Liberty High School graduate, now studying criminal justice at Portland State University, has long been a vocal activist for undocumented immigrants. Brought to the U.S. illegally at age 15, Luna now has temporary permission to be in the county under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program. Wearing a T-shirt that read "UNDOCUMENTED; UNAFRAID; UNAPOLOGETIC," Luna explained the effort Thursday afternoon in front of a small group of supporters in the Latino center at Portland State University.

The laws mean nothing. The illegals do not care about laws, but only about what they want and they want it now. Trying to rule by mob rule.

This sounds like a target rich environment for the border patrol but they’ll be ordered to stand down.

Yes, true that laws are meaningless to illegals, and they will attest that they are citizens of the USA when filling out voter registration forms.

Immigrants enter the territory of the U.S.A. at lawfully designated entry stations, with permission of the relevant designated border security officers. Others crossing our border to enter without permission and lawful clearance are alien invaders.

OH the irony of someone who left their “home” and was deported back to their “home” and now breaking the law again to illegally come back to this horrible evil racist country they now consider “home.”

Do they REALLY want amnesty? I say now. Only in the sense that they can vote for more handouts.
