Approval ratings continue to drop for Democratic Sen. Kay Hagan, who is seeking re-election in the key battleground state of North Carolina, according to a new poll.
The result of the latest Elon University Poll shows that approval of Hagan, now at roughly 33 percent, has declined in four consecutive polls.
"The trend suggests the senator will face a tougher-than-expected re-election battle this November," said Dr. Jason Husser, assistant director of the Elon University Poll.
Further troubling for Hagan is the roughly equivalent disapproval of her job performance by women and men. Thirty-three percent of women and 34 percent of men surveyed approved of Hagan's work.
Hagan has been pummelled for months by negative advertising. Americans For Prosperity, funded in part by the Koch brothers, has alone spent more than $8 million so far on advertising attacking Hagan -- more than the group has funneled to any other race so far this election cycle.
To finish that sentence, Rhodes was apparently well liked by conservative activists.
Amusingly, a liberal blog that calls Tillis “radical” and “far right”, pegs Rhodes as the “more reasonable Republican” that Tillis beat.
Apparently Tillis denies that he was recruited by the sleazy ex-Speaker Morgan for the sole purpose of removing a “thorn from his butt.” Maybe we can get a two-fer, defeating Tillis in the Senate primary and having Rhodes make a comeback for his old seat (presuming he’s still in that district).
I know Tillis is a promoter of “a middle way in immigration reform.” You know what that means don’t you.
Filing is closed, Rhodes isn’t running for that State House seat (or anything AFAIK).

If a woman is conservative, let her prove herself with a voting record in the HOR and a history of standing with Ted Cruz and other constitutional conservatives.
The fact that the Koch's have spent more on this race than any other does not contradict your claim and certainly does not make Rebecca an "ignorant slut".

See, that is exactly how she wanted her readers to take it. AforP spent the money. The Kochs did not.
How conservative is Tillis?
Thom Tillis has solidly conservative issue positions; but more importantly, he doesn’t just talk the talk, he has walked the walk. Tillis has a remarkable record of achievement as Speaker, spearheading a conservative revolution in NC. When the GOP achieved a majority after 2010 (for the first time since Reconstruction), but when the governor was a Democrat who could veto conservative bills, he still got a few measures passed with veto overrides, and obtained the votes to place the NC Marriage Amendment on the ballot for a May 2012 vote (it was approved by the voters with 61%). Moreover, due to the fact that the NC Constitution does not allow the governor to veto redistricting plans, Tillis and his fellow Republicans obtained passage of redistricting maps for the state house and senate that cement 60%-70% GOP majorities in both houses for at least the next decade (and since the maps pretty much guarantee that Republicans will control both houses after each subsequent census, they can just redraw the maps again each decade to remain in power in perpetuity), and of a redistricting map for Congress that turned an 8-5 Democrat U.S. House delegation into a 10-3 GOP U.S. House delegation (it currently is 9-4 GOP because Democrat Mike McIntyre held on by like 700 votes in 2012, but he already announced his retirement and the seat is not rated “safe Republican”). And with a Republican governor being sworn in in January 2013, Tillis has shepherded an incredible amount of conservative legislation through the House, on voter ID and other election matters, abortion, labor relations, taxes, environmental issues, etc.

Are the polls showing that he is ahead of Kay Hagen?
Even though PPP (run by NC Democrat Tom Jensen) is pretty much the only company that has been polling the state, Tillis has been slightly ahead of Hagan in recent polls. Hagan can’t even poll at 45% despite PPP oversampling Obama voters and blacks; she is on her way out the door.
