Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin delivered the keynote address at this year's Conservative Political Action Conference, which she described as "the place where the future of conservatism always starts."
The former vice presidential candidate blasted the Obama administration in her address.

You know, the Republican Establishment, desperate to stop Cruz and Paul, says the next Republican nominee should be a governor.
Hmmmm...Sarah was a governor.
We do not want ObamaScam, we do not like him Bam the Sham. We do not want his hope and change, we do not need its many pains, we will not vote for Dems to cope, we do not crave them as if dope, we want to keep our health plans still, we will not take his red-blue pills, We do not want ObamaScam, we do not like that Bam the Sham.
Or the toothless grandmother who insisted in kissing you on the mouth.
Yeah, but she quit, rather than allow herself to be bankrupted and her political future in tatters. She was supposed to stand there and get destroyed, damnit!
Palin’s speech was just simply awesome!!! As Winston Churchill claimed to Herr Hitler, after the Battle of Britain and the non-stop bombing of London......”We are coming for you!!!”!!! And....with those few simple uttered words, the RAF began non-stop bombing of Germany at night, while the USAAF did the same routine during daylight hours!!! The downfall of Hitler & his Nazi’s had begun.
Ms. Palin has clearly put failed POTUS Obama, his useless Obamabots and Democrat Party dregs, on notice that “We, the people, are coming out to vote , come Novenber, 2014 to destroy Obama, his Obamabots & his Democrat Party politically, for a long time to come!!! The revolution for Freedom , Liberty & Equal Opportunity has begun. Bravo...Ms. Palin!!!
Governors DO make more effective Presidents. Reagan, Clinton, FDR...arguably three of the most effective (not necessarily GOOD) guys in office—the executive experience of running a state translates well into the executive federal branch.
Legislators are more on the outside of the executive arena.
They don’t, USUALLY make effective Presidents.
One exception: the unsung President Polk, who was ONCE Speaker of the House (the only former SoH to become President, by the way)....
But generally speaking, men who have only been legislators are not very strong Presidents.
Of course, perhaps in this day, we do not want a strong executive branch.
I taught Jr High American history for many years and am always amazed at how Polk is so overlooked. He added Texas, Oregon Country, and the Mexican Cession to the U.S. fulfilling the idea of our nation stretching from sea to sea. And he did it in one term.
Sorry, < height = % > doesn’t work here :-P
Cool! Life size!
I bet Obama was having a hissy fit!
...and he promised to only serve one term....so he came, he saw, he conquered....and then left.
I went to his childhood home in North Carolina a few years ago. Pretty awesome.
Only if his golf game was worse than usual in Miami.
Yep! Probably stamping his little foot.
“Yeah, he’s like that creepy uncle who’d want to touch you in all the wrong places.”
Yes, he is in no way like the original Uncle Sam, who was actually Samuel Wilson, my great great great uncle from Troy, NY, 1812.
She nailed it.... a great speech as always
Think I found my new desktop image :)
Never heard of that one... maybe you were the only one...
Now I know why Congress ran.
I do not like thee, Uncle Sam.
Was a local joke in my Catholic elementary school circa 1966.
Bump! First 10 minutes were great!
I was teasing that YOU had THAT grandmother... never heard it before - thanks for sharing.
I know you were. Catholic schools mid-sixties. A long lost era.
