IRS to Provide Congress with All Lerner Emails Since Targeting Began
PJMedia.com ^ | 3/8/2014 | Rick Moran

One imagines that the reason the IRS has changed its tune and will now supply all the emails Congress requested eight months ago is that they’ve had the opportunity to go through them and have found nothing incriminating.

But the value of of examining all of Lois Lerner’s emails during the months in question has to do with the two-track approach to the IRS investigation that Republicans have initiated.

The first track is an examination of the targeting scandal and all the related issues associated with IRS actions. The second, and equally important, track, is getting to the bottom of how the IRS came up with its new set of regulations that govern what “political activity” is legal for 501(C)(4) organizations.

I won’t be holding my breath waiting for this. I imagine the IRS will be as cooperative in this “investigation” as the Justuce Department is.

Right.

You’ll for sure turn blue if you do. Simply amazing at what these clowns get away with. Basically ignore any and all requests. That’s how they roll.

You think maybe they’ve delayed long enough to write up a new bunch of nice little innocent- looking email notes maybe?

“All Learner’s e-mails”......

uh...from WHICH ACCOUNTS?

We already know she used shadow accounts with great purpose.

This will eventually taste like ashes in our mouths. No way Obastard would release anything incriminating.

You’re right. They’ll eventually be released but “when” is the question. The administration will slow walk this over a long time frame so they have plenty of time to manage damage control.

Paper E-mails. Those e-mails remain on the hard drives.
Those are what they should go after. But, Bonehead will not appoint a select committee with a good prosecutor to investigate. There is where the problem is.

And the heavy redacting due to how it affects national security?

They will not be handing over all those private email accounts she used to perform official and illegal IRS actions.

Yes! Ms. Jackson used fake email names and accts. to run her Dept. By the time she was found out, Holder just let it slide. This is buying time that WE mdon’t have.

When the Clinton’s used fake accts for emails and they were all under subpoena they delayed for several yrs. It was then declared MOOT.

Let’s just hope their [GOP LEADERS] distaste for Obama and Reid and Co. are greater than their distaste for the Tea Party and things get rolling in our direction.

The IRS would NEVER do anything to hide evidence or protect one of their own. This agency is squeaky clean when it comes to being honest.

Surely after a year nothing has gone missing.

Case closed.

They got confirmation that Lerner isn’t going to talk about any higher-ups and are going to throw her to the sharks.

“What’s this bag and this bottle of Elmer’s glue?”

“It’s Lois Lerner’s emails that you requested.”

“But, it looks like they’ve been shredded.”

“Well, yes, there is that. But it shouldn’t take you long to glue them back together.”

So full of possible wholes:
“All of Lois Lerner’s emails,” might be purposely taken narrowly to mean all that she initiated, or of Lois Lerner’s email she sent from x email address or y email address (she certainly could have had several different email addresses right on the IRS server and/or on another server, or she could have sent messages re IRS work from home and the messages would not show up on the IRS servers at all. Or the local IRS could have different server than the big IRS server. Or she could have sent them from an entirely different server. What about voice mail messages from work, home, other? Did they ask for paper memoes to and from Lois Lerner? Besides all this, those involved at the IRS have had a heck of a long time to look and sort, etc.

Correction: So full of possible holes.

“All of Lois Lerner’s emails,” might be purposely taken narrowly to mean all that she initiated, or all of Lois Lerner’s email she sent from x email address or y email address (she certainly could have had several different email addresses right on the IRS server and/or on another server, or she could have sent messages re IRS work from home and the messages would not show up on the IRS servers at all. Or the local IRS could have a different and/or additional server than the big IRS server. Or she could have sent them from an entirely different server, such as a public internet cafe or a library. What about voice mail messages from work, home, other? Did they ask for all paper memoes to and from Lois Lerner? Did they interview the main receptionist and/or executive secretaries at the IRS where she works? Besides all this, those involved at the IRS have had a heck of a long time to look and sort, etc.
