Kerry urges US envoys to make climate change a priority

WASHINGTON - US Secretary of State John Kerry has called on American ambassadors around the world to make the fight against climate change a top priority ahead of new UN talks next year.

In his first department-wide policy guidance statement since taking office a year ago, he told his 70,000 staff: "The environment has been one of the central causes of my life."

"Protecting our environment and meeting the challenge of global climate change is a critical mission for me as our country's top diplomat," Kerry said in the letter issued on Friday to all 275 US embassies and across the State Department.

"It's also a critical mission for all of you: our brave men and women on the frontlines of direct diplomacy," he added in the document seen by AFP.

In his policy guidance, Kerry set out a seven step program to enhance the focus on tackling climate change including boosting multilateral and bilateral efforts.

"We're talking about the future of our earth and of humanity. We need to elevate the environment in everything we do," he said.

It was, he said "our call to conscience as citizens of this fragile planet we inhabit."

The climate in the Ukraine is about to change, but John Kerry want to discuss Al Bore’s little fantasy.

Elevate the climate as a priority ... And ignore and submerge the Ukrainians, Germans, Poles, Slovaks, Czechs, and Christians in Muslim dictatorships everywhere?

OK!! Everybody pay attention!

Lesson for today:

1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.

2. The sun is a ball of fire that controls the climates of all its planets.

3. The earth is one of the sun’s planets.

4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.

5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.

Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?

The Russian bear is on the move again. Iran is making nukes. The Chinese are stirring things up in southeast Asia and is close to a conflict with Japan but what is our foreign policy team most worried about, global warming? This is ineptness at its worst. Too much policy making and money spent on a concept that even the scientific community can’t come to a consensus on. Where is the strong world leader today? Sadly, that man probably resides in Russia and he’s not exactly on our side.

You’d think, as poorly as he’s performing in his day job, that he’d concentrate on just that. This is like a pro-boxer who’s constantly losing spending his spare time playing baseball or selling girl scout cookies instead of working on his boxing career.

John Kerry has never made a difference anywhere and he never will. The Earth is 4.5 billion years old and the climate has changed millions of times before man was even on earth. The climate will continue to change, even if man wasn’t here, the climate WILL change. The best man can do is to prepare for climate change.

Did he also explain to the ambassadors that should their embassies come under attack from muslims that rescuing them would cause way too much environmental impact.

“Kerry urges US envoys to make climate change a priority”

Makes total sense. After all, the U.S. under obama now has no influence whatsoever in real world events like the Soviet, uh, I mean Russian, invasion of Ukraine, so they might as well pretend to address a phony issue like “climate change”.

On the other hand, I think “climate change” is small ball anyway: the Obammunists should really be grabbing a real tiger by the tail like the tectonic plate shifting that causes volcanoes and earthquakes, and try to stop that too. I’m pretty sure the recent volcanoes and earthquakes are human-caused, i.e., what’s going on here is anthropogenic tectonic plate-shifting.

I remember that the State Dept. claimed budget cuts didn’t allow them enough money to supply security in Benghazi. Then it was revealed they had plenty of money making the consulates “green”.

So Kerry thinks US envoys can change the climate?

He ought to have heard by now of the saying attributed to Mark Twain: "Everyone talks about the weather, but no one does anything about it."
