WASHINGTON - US Secretary of State John Kerry has called on American ambassadors around the world to make the fight against climate change a top priority ahead of new UN talks next year.

In his first department-wide policy guidance statement since taking office a year ago, he told his 70,000 staff: "The environment has been one of the central causes of my life."

"Protecting our environment and meeting the challenge of global climate change is a critical mission for me as our country's top diplomat," Kerry said in the letter issued on Friday to all 275 US embassies and across the State Department.

"It's also a critical mission for all of you: our brave men and women on the frontlines of direct diplomacy," he added in the document seen by AFP.

In his policy guidance, Kerry set out a seven step program to enhance the focus on tackling climate change including boosting multilateral and bilateral efforts.

"We're talking about the future of our earth and of humanity. We need to elevate the environment in everything we do," he said.

It was, he said "our call to conscience as citizens of this fragile planet we inhabit."

The climate in the Ukraine is about to change, but John Kerry want to discuss Al Bore’s little fantasy.

Elevate the climate as a priority ... And ignore and submerge the Ukrainians, Germans, Poles, Slovaks, Czechs, and Christians in Muslim dictatorships everywhere?

OK!! Everybody pay attention!

Lesson for today:

1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.

2. The sun is a ball of fire that controls the climates of all its planets.

3. The earth is one of the sun’s planets.

4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.

5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.

Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?

PTSD from his service in VN? I urge juan f’n kohn-kerry-heinz to STFU. His haughtiness is disconcerting to say the least.

The Russian bear is on the move again. Iran is making nukes. The Chinese are stirring things up in southeast Asia and is close to a conflict with Japan but what is our foreign policy team most worried about, global warming? This is ineptness at its worst. Too much policy making and money spent on a concept that even the scientific community can’t come to a consensus on. Where is the strong world leader today? Sadly, that man probably resides in Russia and he’s not exactly on our side.

That’s after marrying wealthy women.

This guy is the biggest horse’s ass of all time.

You’d think, as poorly as he’s performing in his day job, that he’d concentrate on just that. This is like a pro-boxer who’s constantly losing spending his spare time playing baseball or selling girl scout cookies instead of working on his boxing career.

John Kerry has never made a difference anywhere and he never will. The Earth is 4.5 billion years old and the climate has changed millions of times before man was even on earth. The climate will continue to change, even if man wasn’t here, the climate WILL change. The best man can do is to prepare for climate change.

Kerry would have sat on a lounge chair on the Titanic pondering what color to paint the ship.
