Leading Republicans Move to Stamp Out Challenges From Right
NY Times ^ | March 8, 2014 | Carl Hulse

Posted on 03/09/2014 9:27:26 AM PDT by Olog-hai

As conservative activist groups stirred up trouble for establishment Republican Senate candidates in 2010 and 2012, party leaders in Washington first tried to ignore the insurgents, then tried to reason with them, and ultimately left it to primary voters to settle the matter. […]

This election season, Republicans led by Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky are taking a much harder line as they sense the majority within reach. Top congressional Republicans and their allies are challenging the advocacy groups head on in an aggressive effort to undermine their credibility. The goal is to deny them any Senate primary victories, cut into their fund-raising and diminish them as a future force in Republican politics.

“I think we are going to crush them everywhere,” Mr. McConnell, the Senate Republican leader, said in an interview, referring to the network of activist organizations working against him and two Republican incumbents in Kansas and Mississippi while engaging in a handful of other contests. “I don’t think they are going to have a single nominee anywhere in the country.” …

Great way to deny yourself the majority, Mitch. Assuming that the NYT isn’t just playing up your anti-conservative desires, that is.

...as they sense the majority within reach.

Your base won't give you the majority, Mitch, if you work against their conservative stance.

They know that a Republican majority is useless if it's as far left as the 'Rats anyway.

Well Mitch...here’s one disaffected conservative who won’t be voting for his Republican Congressman in November. He’ll probably still win, but I’m done with you and your ilk, period.

Long as we don’t vote for them, it won’t work. Support strong Tea party candidates.

GOPe didn’t build the House majority, the Tea Party did and they can’t get a Senate majority without the Tea Party.

“Top congressional Republicans and their allies are challenging the advocacy groups head on in an aggressive effort to undermine their credibility.”

One must first ask why the ‘top congressional republicans’ are not representing the views of their constituents over those of their ‘allies’.
After that, we must question why the circular firing squad into which the party has morphed. As long they are firing at others in the party, they are using up ammo ($$) that should be targeted toward replacing dhimmicraps in vulnerable districts.

It’s time for an alternative to the voice of the GOPe.

Milton Wolf is an idiot, here in Kansas.
Not all of the “Tea Party” candidates are worthy of our support.

The New York Times is doing exactly what it did in Texas, pumping up Democrat cadidate for governor, Wendy Davis like she was a supet star, only to have her bring forth an absolutely miserable Democrat turnout of 3.1% percent in the state of Texas. Almost all Latino/Hispanic Democrat voters rejected her and voted for an unknown Latino candidate. Ms. Davis Republican opponent, Greg Abbott slaughtered her in besting by over 800,000 votes in the primary, his 1,200,000 to her 424,000!!!

Forgetting braindead, Mitch Mcconnell, the Tea Party/Conservative movement is alive and well within the GOP...and in fact....will gain much valuable ground in both the primaries and the general mid-term election, coming in November, 2014!!!

Two things...The great state of Texas is not only red...it is “Ruby Red”!!! and, good folks in Florida vote for David Jolly in the upcoming special congressional race in FL-!3CD against the liberal, dreg, Obamabot clone, Democrat, Alex Sink on Tuesday, March 11th, 2014!!! Jolly already has a major lead in the early voting!!! Forget anything you read in ‘Politico” or The New York Times. Like their anti-American, icon, failed POTUS Obama they lie....all the time!!!

The national GOP is rotten to the core.

As much damage as would be caused by a continued dhimmicrat congress, and the damage, already immense, will surely grow, it would still be better in the long run to purge the rinos who are every bit as self serving as any democrat.

Boehner & mitch the bitch have made a huge miscalculation here.

I believe the rank and file Republicans form a very good party.

Too bad about 50 of the Republican leaders are able to thwart what about 40 million of the rest of us truly desire.

There is another solution. The facts:

1. The GOPe can take the senate in 2014.
2. A RINO will NEVER win the White House.
3. A RINO/Conservative war only helps the Rats.

Solution: In exchange for conservatives working with the RINO’s to take back the Senate, the GOPe will nominate a Conservative to run for President. No McCain, Dole, Romney. But a Reagan, Cruz, Palin figure.

Then together take back America. And the first task of a new Republican administration is to fire EVERYONE! The second task is a fairness doctrine that shuts down the MSM.

Flame away!
