NRA Warns of Potential Breakdown of Law in Connecticut
09 March 2014
The situation in Connecticut continues to unravel as responses to serious questions about enforcement of the state's new gun laws aren't being answered consistently.
...
The Crucible like persecution by CT lunatics has begun.
I wouldn’t rule that out. Not at all.
Amen
“The only thing scarier than busting down a door with an armed homeowner behind it is busting one down to find he’s already gone (but probably close by).”
So true. :-)
If they are purposely sowing the wind then they deserve to reap the whirlwind and I will have no sympathy for them. I will support whatever remedy the citizens of CT choose to apply.
Well, FR just pulled a thread that told of a letter signed by 250 CT LEOs that refused to enforce the law there, and further news was claimed to be breaking soon . . . .
Oh, well
“...it was that exact ruling from the 9th Circuit Court that struck the deathblow to Illinois strict handgun laws, and obliterated Chicago’s handgun ban.”
Actually the change in Illinois was due to a 7th Circuit Court ruling. Now we have the “Eastern A$$holes” in the 2nd, 4th and 5th Circuits saying just the opposite of the 7th and the 9th. So right now, the 2A is doing well in some states (the one’s lying in the 7th and 9th districts) and some other states (which lie in the 2nd,4th and 5th Circuits) not so much. But the door has been opened and the Genie is now out of the box. Just imagine the insurrection that would take place now if in a number of years ( yes it will be a number since the SCOTUS is comprised of a bunch of lay a bouts who don’t break their a$$es working) if they decide the case differently that the 9th! I am holding my breath that gun control is on the way out and that ordinary citizens who want to, will be able to protect themselves.
“CA does have assault weapons registration. Weve gotten around the definition in most cases, especially via the bullet button.”
It is true that there is a list of “banned AW’s” here, but as you point out, with a 10 rd mag and a BB you are good to go, and all the AR’s that are currently owned ( as of 12/31/13) are not registered. Also there are huge numbers of “home built” AR’s and AK’s that are perfectly legal, that the state would have a great deal of trouble “finding.” BTW I am a Californian, and a gun owner, including an AR.
Illinois is not in the 9th Circuit, so nothing they decide is binding in IL (though the ruling may well have influenced whatever court ruled IL had to have CCW).
Amen!
This is simply anarcho-tyranny. You can bet that no inner city gangbangers will be affected but they will make an example out of some law-abiding citizen in the suburbs (or maybe someone in the city just tying to stay safe). The arbitrary application of law is the starting point, eventually it devolves into surveillance state or third world style corruption.
I had no idea about the Battle of Athens either until about a year or two ago.
Now I tell everyone I can about it.
PEOPLE NEED TO WATCH THAT VIDEO AND LEARN WHAT THE 2A MEANS IN OUR RECENT HISTORY. IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN IT, PLEASE WATCH.
Forgot to add.....makes you wonder what else they are not teaching you, doesn’t it?
Thanks for the link - makes perfect sense - why let the enemy dictate the field of battle, when it should be “everywhere they don’t want it to be”....

[Re: Mass seatbelt laws] It ultimately came back,...
Scumbags on Beacon Hill (but I repeat myself) promised no primary enforcement in order to ram the law through.
Since all liberals lie some of the time and Mass liberals lie ALL the time, primary enforcement passed later on.
