Sarah Palin pursued as host at streaming network
The New York Post ^ | March 9, 2014 | Claire Atkinson

Sarah Palin is being wooed by two news media veterans to join a streaming network, The Post has learned.

Jonathan Klein, who ran CNN’s US operations, and Jeff Gaspin, who was most recently chairman of NBC-Universal Entertainment, have already raised enough money from deep-pocketed backers to start the over-the-top network, and have reached out to a few bold-faced names to host a show to make selling subscriptions easier, sources said.

And is the former Alaska governor and 2008 GOP vice-presidential candidate among those the two have approached?

You betcha, sources said.

Palin seemed interested but has not committed, sources added.

While Palin has no major media platform, like a syndicated radio show or newspaper column, to market such a service, the 50-year-old conservative political commentator has a stunning social media presence: Her Facebook page has four million friends [vs. 900,000 for her former running mate, Sen. John McCain] and she has more than a million followers on Twitter. She is a Fox News contributor....

Hahahahaha! Yeah, she's sure "washed-up" isn't she? Remember Ronald Reagan and General Electric Theatre?

I’d prolly listen, even if it was a CNN affiliate.

Good for Sarah. I hope she gives the hosting a try.

It would be a fun diversion for a while, until she gets real busy in another year or so ;-)

I’d like to see her host a show called “Exploding Heads”. Bring the libs on, and let her go on them like she did at CPAC...instant replay and slo-mo of the ensuing meltdown.

I have been using 20 Mule Team Borax mostly because of seeing Mr. Reagan talk about it when I was younger, much younger. It works great. Gosh, how I wish Mr. Reagan were still with us.

It might be successful, but they might put so many restrictions that it would strangle her.

Or they might do a counter-balance and have her and a radical lib screaming at each other.

I doubt they would allow her the freedom to be herself. Some of these liberal networks have tried that with other conservative talkshow hosts, and it didn’t work out to well.

On further review, I think the best name for a talk show hosted by Sarah Palin would be “Rent Free”.

Interesting, will check it out for sure if this happens..gee, but according to the media, Sarah Palin is irrelevant, washed up, finished..yet whenever she posts something, tweets something, gives a speech, that’s the only thing the media talks about and critiques

Hannity and Colmes was pretty successful, couldn’t stand hearing Colmes run his trap but it was a pretty successful program

I made a mâche salad for us tonight and had a very big heart, remembering how I made that salad for President Reagan once. My bare hands held a scissor and each floret and cut them for him, in the hotel kitchen with the Secret Service behind me. I thought it was “cool” at the time; I never dreamed that I’d grow up to see that as the honor I now do.

And I enjoyed the salad tonight. Here’s to the Gipper.

I know, cool, huh? Our paths crossed twice in significant ways, and once more in his death, which added to my love for the man.

And when I made that salad, I was a dumb Low Info Lib. Or just non political, into boys. You know how it when you’re young.

Hannity and Colmes

I watched them a few times years ago. All each did was parrot the party talkingpoints.

Seldom on these news-talk programs do they have commentators who can actually engage in a conversation with a person of the opposite persuasion. Either they revert to their party talking points or they end up in a yell-fest.

Thank you for sharing that story. The hospitality business has its moments of pure joy.

20 Mule Team Borax... When I was young my parents bought me a 20 Mule Team Borax model. We spent a long time building it. Over the years it got destroyed but a few years ago I bought another kit from Ebay. When the grandkids are old enough we're going to build it.

2016 should be just about the right timing.

Wow! Now that is neat. I’ll have to see if I can find one too. Thanks for posting this. I had completely forgotten these kits.

You may or may not agree, but I’d love to see a Palin sponsored by 20 Mule Team Borax. She certainly shares many traits with Mr. Reagan, IMO.

I don't want to see Sarah Palin hosting any shows

I want to see Sarah Palin run for president and beat hillary clinton the socialist.

I kinda would like to have the USA and freedom and capitalism saved rather than to see good Conservative COMMENTS on some show
