The Battle of Athens: Restoring the Rule of Law
Youtube ^

Posted on 03/10/2014 3:43:02 AM PDT by Red in Blue PA

The Battle of Athens was an armed rebellion led by WWII veterans and citizens in Athens and Etowah, Tennessee, United States, against the tyrannical local government in August 1946.

I am reposting this as this is an important piece of history related to the 2A which is never taught in schools but should be. Please spend 10 minutes viewing this and pass the word and the link.

Could you see them making a movie like this today????

Luckily, this was made when it was. My question is what else is there out there we are not aware of?

This movie was made in 2002, not that long ago.

1992, as an after school special.

Today’s after school specials would be a bout gay rights.

I have two friends, brothers, that were there. The oldest has clear memories of the events of the day in Athens. He is about 78 now I think.

2.6 million views, and I’ve never heard of the Battle of Athens.

Ballots are still being stolen or rigged today, nothing more than a peep about it, like it is expected and acceptable.

There will be another Battle of Athens, though it will unlikely be over ballots as the original, as corruption sadly has come to be accepted to a large extent.

"There will be another Battle of Athens

I suspect this time it will be over gun confiscation.

I had this exchange with a Connecticut Freeper yesterday.

"We assume our Patriot brothers from other states will start flooding into Connecticut..."

Our country was founded by such men. Such men stood on Lexington Green and at Concord Bridge. Do we still have men like that? I pray to God we do.

Dear Lord in Heaven your people have become weak and many revel in the evils much like those which you destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah for.

Yet many here still believe and remain true to your word. I pray that you would take pity on us who still steadfastly believe and would in your mercy send us a Great leader as you did for Israel in David and in our own early trial when you sent us Washington. Send us a man like Washington strong and with wisdom yet not too proud to bend his knee to you and ask for your blessing and guidance in all that he does.

In Jesus' name I pray.

All those who agree say Amen.

The man’s assumption was wrong.

Connecticut has nothing worth saving. The good guys should leave. They will not be rescued. New York is in the way

The people in Conn. voted in those who are now taking away their 2nd ame3ndment rights and they want patriots from other states to come to their rescue?

They should get a clue and vote them out or vote with their feet and move somewhere else!

"...so will you let him know?"

You mean like we're all Americans and we stand together or we fall apart?

Could you imagine if Patrick Henry said: "Screw Massachusetts, Virginians ain't sticking their necks out for those losers...."

"They should get a clue...."

I don't think that's what the Militia in Lexington amnd Concord said about their brothers in Boston - which is where the DHS, I mean the Redcoats headed after disarming Boston.

And BTW - it's easy to sit in the middle of a big Red state where everyone you know is a normal American - much different to be operating behind enemy lines fighting delaying actions on a 1/2-dozen fronts...........
