Schlafly: The President's Grab for Dictatorial Power
Creators Syndicate ^ | March 11, 2014 | Phyllis Schlafly

The United States is at "a constitutional tipping point" and "in the midst of a constitutional crisis." Has President Barack Obama unilaterally overturned the constitutional framework of three branches that is the basis of our unique and successful system of self-government?

That question is not just partisan bickering by Republicans and tea party activists. It was spoken in all seriousness in testimony before the House Judiciary Committee by a distinguished constitutional law professor who voted for Obama.

Jonathan Turley of George Washington University said that the "massive gravitational shift of authority to the executive branch" is unconstitutional and threatens the stability of our separation of powers and checks and balances. We can point to a few moves in that direction under previous presidents, but the current shift of power is proceeding at "an alarming rate," while (and just as ominous) the other branches (Congress and the courts) are "mute and passive" in the face of Obama's unprecedented expansion of executive branch power.

Our separation of powers was designed to serve as the primary protection of individual rights because it is supposed to prevent the concentration of power in any one branch. Turley warned that Obama has become "the very danger that separation of powers was designed to avoid," and we should not "take from future generations a system that has safeguarded our freedoms for over 250 years."

Our Constitution gives the power to declare war exclusively to Congress, but Obama thinks he can make a "unilateral commitment of our country to war." Turley explained that Obama "funded an entire military campaign (in Libya) by shifting billions in money and equipment without asking Congress for a dollar." He just transferred the money from another account, boasting that he "alone would define what is a war."

The Taxed Enough Already Party is the first serious threat to the parasitic hold that Federal Professional Politicians in “both” political parties have on those of us who are Taxed Enough Already.

The Federal Professional Politicians in “both” political parties have been uniting to suppress us since November, 2010.

The Federal Democrats have been, and continue to, suppress us through the brute force of the IRS, DOJ, NSA, and other Gestapo-Style Federal Agencies that we are forced to finance.

The RINOs are suppressing us by their Public statements and critical cave-in votes to Democrats.

Thus, the Federal RINOs and Democrats have united against us.

Fair enough: BRING IT !

_______________________________

Both the RINOs and the Democrats have Professional Politicians who are dependent on their ability to control those of us who still pay Personal Federal Income Taxes, in order to continue to be on our payroll.

What better way to control us than to make us slaves to them who are the masters of us?

“Both” Political Parties in our current Communal Federal Government understand that the purpose of naming a Master/Slave Federal Government Program an “Entitlement” is to deceive the enslaved population into believing that becoming slaves to a Master is something to be desired, and thus reduce the probability of a slave rebellion.

The Master/Slave Entitlement of Obamacare is the most Communal of all of the Federal Government Master/Slave Entitlement Programs, because it can legally collect monies and/or property after death of the Entitled Slave, or from their surviving family members.

FORWARD, the RINOcare RINOS!

FORWARD, the Obamacare Democrats!!

FORWARD !

He stepped up to the line, but for whatever reason could not come out and say the 17th amendment must be repealed.

Sheriff’s and other law enforcement...where are your voices?

You are precisely right.

Sen. McConnell along with others such as McCain are disgraceful individuals. They’re elected by people who for the most part believe they’ll reflect conservative values when in fact they’re little different than liberal democRats.

[Art.] .... the other branches (Congress and the courts) are "mute and passive" in the face of Obama's unprecedented expansion of executive branch power.

In the face of a viciously partisan, totally-committed media cadre that defends Obama at every point and relentlessly savages anyone who offers even a moue of dissent.

God help anyone who brings up the question of Obama's eligibility for his office in the first place. He may be an Indonesian citizen since he was six, but they gurarantee you will cease to care about any of that long, long before the truth ever comes to light.
