Was the missing Malaysian airliner the victim of a terrorist test run? [VIDEO]
The Daily Caller ^ | 10 Mar 2014 | Brendan Bordelon

New information on two passengers from Malaysia Air Flight MH370 — which disappeared without a trace off the coast of Vietnam on Friday — raises the possbiilty the plane was bombed as a terrorist test run. If confirmed, the guilty organization’s silence means more attacks may be forthcoming.

While reports remain unsettled, most agree that two unknown individuals purchased tickets for the flight stolen fake Italian and Austrian passports. More ominously, the tickets were purchased together through an Iranian middleman, known to a travel agent only as “Mr. Ali.”

Terrorist organizations usually claim responsibility for their attacks, especially successful ones. But it wouldn’t be the first time an airliner was bombed without a confession and with false passports, and some experts can’t help but compare this mystery to an earlier bombing plot.

“Make no sense. The world tipped off to their methods.”

Not to mention why they would attack a Malaysian airliner. What do mussies have against Malaysians or chinese?

I’m more concerned ...that there is some way that plane was taken to an airfield for later use in a 911 type attack.

My suspicions too until they prove it cannot be done.

What? You didn't hear about the knife attack in China, where the Uighurs killed 27 people?

Let me throw this out there:

Does the U.S. or another country operate reconnaissance drones in that area? Did we smack our drone into that aircraft? Or if a COUNTRY NEARBY THAT AIRCRAFT did, there'd be a massive COVER-UP to avoid public outrage.

There were a lot of employees from different companies that deal with the US..a company in Austin, TX for one..and you have the man from Texas who worked for IBM..can’t really figure out why terrorists pick the planes they do..why did the 9/11 hijackers pick Flight 11 or Flight 77 to hijack..what were so special about those two planes..sometimes its just about convenience

the only way to prevent the plane from air traffic control detection would be nap of the earth flying. I can’t imagine that being maintained all the way to the US. If that plane is landed someplace, then its target is close and not far.

See #16. A return by a Malaysian plane to Malaysia has a certain sense about it so far as knowledge of any peculiarities of the area is concerned. And a US carrier (any warship, really) would be a high value target if kamikazied.

Exactly, a Bojinka plan is probably in the offing. They might, for example, have perfected a bomb that can pass through security. For example, identical shaving cream cans, perfect on the outside, they might even have real shaving cream in the top quarter. All of the ones for the big “Bojinka” run could be set at the factory to detonate at the same moment. Then terrorists just need to be airborne at that time, and boom, 20 or so airliners get blown out of the sky.

That’s the only reason NOT to take “credit” for this downed airliner.

Many more are in the offing.

“why did the 9/11 hijackers pick Flight 11 or Flight 77 to hijack..what were so special about those two planes..sometimes its just about convenience”

During reconnaisance flights they noticed those tended to be less than full, yet filled with fuel because they were cross-country flights, thus able to cause maximum damage. Because the flights tended to be less than full (Tuesday mornings) they would be easier to hijack. Who was on it had nothing to do with it.

D Company would be on my short list of usual suspects as the facilitators.

No, it was deliberate provocation of the truthers, and as the article illustrates, it worked!

Looking at the crime from the terror aspect, it seems to me a lot more scary to not know who the perp is.

If more attacks are coming, here’s a tip: Buy Citrix systems (CTXS), maker of GoToMeeting, and tangentially, perhaps CSCO (Cisco), owner of WebEx.

The Malaysia Air 777 had only 239 people aboard. The 777 has a capacity of 415.

Yes, I think I saw that special. It was very well done and eye-opening. I see that on the Wiki story on Bojinka, Ramzi Yousef boarded the plane he bombed, using an Italian passport. Must be something about the Italian ones that make them easy to forge.

What would be a nearby target of high value that an airline flying on the deck could take out?

The U.S. carrier CVN-73 George Washington was last reported docked at Changi Naval Base, Singapore, pretty close to Kuala Lampur, according to Google Maps, but it is an old listing...

Pilot suicide? We remember EgyptAir Flight 990 when First Officer Gameel Al-Batouti began saying, “Tawakkalt ala Allah” (I rely on God), took the airline off autopiolet and shut down the engines. All 217 aboard perished.

If the bomb was anywhere, it was in a body cavity.

I’m more concerned — and I don’t know anything about piloting, air control, etc. — that there is some way that plane was taken to an airfield for later use in a 911 type attack.

It's possible I guess, with some fancy flying.

I don't think it's likely, unless they have a landing strip with fueling capabilities. It was fueled for KLM to Beijing, plus a little extra. Flying hundreds of miles at a low altitude would drain a lot of fuel. Unless refueled, they might have enough gas to get off the ground, but it won't get far. Also, if the tanks are nearly empty on impact during an attack, there wouldn't be nearly as much fire as 9/11. Those jets had just taken off on cross-continental trips, so they were loaded to the gills with gas.

Let's say they can refuel where they are in hiding. They would have to get altitude, unlike this landing run, and they'll be spotted. Whatever Air Traffic Control there is will know it's them, and if they refuse to communicate, the Chinese will probably shoot them down, they're likely target in China. If it's terrorists, it's probably the Uighurs.

..........I’m not either and particularly after a little 5 minute exercise I just did. Namely, on Google Earth, I drew a line between Kuala Lumpur and Bejing. Then, I started looking for 8,000 foot air strips less than 500 miles from that flight line. There are many. But, to name just one. Tha Thong, Thailand. It has a 8,000 runway 150 wide. It looks to me like an old USAF runway. It is remote with almost no development within miles. All it would take is turning off the transponder and fly over there. Enterprising terrorists could bribe Vietnamese air traffic controllers to “lose” the airplane on radar. Then, park it under a Quonset building a few days.

I think there are probably dozens of places this plane could be. That no wreckage has been found in 3 days and the satellites didn’t see anything causes me to start wondering that this airplane is intact somewhere.
