If you listen to the President, and other supporters of Obamacare, you might get the impression that the reason why tens of millions of Americans go without health insurance is because these people have pre-existing conditions, and health insurers are too mean to cover them. The truth is quite different. Less than a million Americans lack health insurance because of a pre-existing condition. And it turns out that a good number of Americans are uninsured not because they are sick, but because they are convicted criminals.

"People coming out of jail or prison have disproportionately high rates of chronic diseases, especially mental illness and addictive disorders"...queue Captain Obvious!!!!
No wonder. When you’re in jail you’re forced to rely on a crappy government-run health care system.
I thought “I heard everything” 5 years ago. I still haven’t. None of us have.
Agreed...The profound stupidity of Liberal logic always amazes me on a daily basis.
Does anyone know what people who were unable to obtain insurance for this reason have done in years past, especially if they couldn't pay cash and didn't have collateral assetts?
Guess I was one of the million because had pre-existing conditions and no criminal history.
Just wait until ‘Convicted Felon’ becomes a race. You won’t be able to ‘discriminate’ in employment or housing.
“..Agreed...The profound stupidity of Liberal logic always amazes me on a daily basis.”
Yes, if there were such a thing as “LIBERAL LOGIC”. It is an undefined entity.
ObamaCARE/RomneyCARE were written by criminals in prison,
and immediately adopted by the EXEMPT criminals that
dare to deem “laws” which only apply to others
who do not have a Koran.
Plagiarizing ME from earlier:
No you haven’t heard everything... and likely, never will.
There is wall-to-wall, indisputable and rigorously documented evidence that the ACA never met ANY legal and necessary protocols for lawmaking as are traditionally observed, required and practiced in the history of the United Stated of America.
We have a piece of legislation that NO ONE read before passing and which is so badly articulated (I think THIS was inentional), fraudulently represented, unworkable and ill-conceived that not EVEN its supporters can honestly comprehend its definitive and final (if any) configuration!!!
Americans and the US economy (never mind our social stability) will be held hostage to the continuous evolution of the ACA into infinity! It will become the incessant and absolute means with which all politicians may blackmail and rob taxpayers with perfect license!!
How else are these folks going to earn a living? With Medicaid, criminals can claim that they have back pain, neck pain or fibromyalgia and receive prescriptions for narcotics which can fetch a decent price on the street.
Then, we will have more crime which will necessitate more police, equipment and more prisons. Now that’s a great way to stimulate the economy!
The only thing you “pass to see what’s in it” is a stool sample.
So now that the Obamacrats have taken care of you, are you a happy camper?
Ha! And the ACA can’t even compare to the efficiencey OR necessity of THAT!
God can answer prayers in funny ways. But let’s say that for every one thing I’m happy about in the world today, nine things I’m not.
Politicians have passed so many laws that most of us are in violation of several laws every single day without knowing it.
“Just wait until Convicted Felon becomes a race.”
Oxymoron, it already has. See Detroit, Flint, Gary In,...
Wonder if they would fall under Medicaid versus Obamacare.
This is a total f**kfest of the taxpayer!
Yep. Three areas of government Health Control: Bureau or Prisons, VA, and reservations.
And for those who are quick to brush off the dirty scumbag criminals - look at how much IS criminalized now. Did you register your guns as ordered? Did you make a mistake on your income tax? Did you drive through ‘federal property’ with a firearm in the trunk or concealed carry, or too close to a school? Police states NEED criminals to justify their oppressions. We are one, and have been for a while.
They are hoping that the American people and our health care system will figure out how to make it work. More by necessity and desperation than actual organized and structured planning. It will probably end up being a hodgepodge of laws and regulations that give preferences to cronies and poor health care to those who need it. It will probably collapse and with the only alternative being a single payer system because the original health care system will have been destroyed.
And of course, they will take credit for it if, by chance, it is made to work.
New tag line thank you very much!

I don't think it was ever MEANT to ‘end up’ as anything... but rather to remain ever at-hand as THE perfect and versatile cudgel to bully and manipulate taxpayers.
It will perpetually morph into whatever tool the ‘state’ needs it to be, WHENEVER it is needed.
The ACA was written in intentionally inscrutable language, to be expedient, efficient and perennially adaptable to the needs of, NOT US taxpayers, but to all and every current and conceivable need and objective of this and every subsequent Congress!
The Social Security system was the blueprint and dress rehearsal for THIS monstrous and ruinous legislation.
Because it will be chaos for Americans. And with the help of the GOP and Conservatives, guess who get the blame? The Democrats, of course. So it will probably be hastily thrown together, peace-meal implementation, and waivers for cronies.
Exactly what we hate the most about anything run by the government.
Prior to this expansion of Medicaid were those with crimminal histories barred from signing up ?
Might wanna fix your quotation marks...
This time was a charm. Got the quotation marks the first time, then the apostrophe was the crux of the biscuit the second time </Zappa>.
I gues the old adage is true, “third time’s a charm”.
