The cumulative numbers are in: since Healthcare.gov launched on October 1, 2013, 4.2 million Americans have signed up for private health insurance, according to the Department of Health and Human Services. That being said, the White House was more than willing to help share the "happy" news:

Will the White House meet or exceed their self-imposed sign-up goal? We dont know:
CMS spox won't say whether they expect to meet downwardly revised goal of 6 million enrollments. Philip Klein (@philipaklein) March 11, 2014
What we do know, however, is that the March 31 open enrollment deadline cannot legally be extended. Of course, constitutional constraints have never stopped the president from making on-the-fly changes to his health care law in the past. So we'll just wait and see what happens if/when the administration comes up short:

Look for Guys analysis later this evening. In short, these figures are hardly encouraging, and show that enrollment sign-up trends are indeed flat-lining, despite the White Houses carefully crafted and predictable spin. Stay tuned.

What’s private about it?
I heard they are counting everyone that visited the site and put in their name, or someone else... Like Mickey mouse.
If the people who have lost coverage are counted, it means that over 2 million less have coverage now than when this crap started.
Even those that don't pay aren't buying.
I've been thinking about what the IRS could do to you if you don't pay your Obamacare penalty. Maybe they could make you subject to back-up withholding on interest, dividends, IRA benefits, etc., to harass you.
Aye, that is the question. Another pertinent question: What percentage of those people were previously un-insured?
Mooch has to fire up the stove so they can cook these numbers...
The parts of yours that the Democrat led fed will now frequently examine.
Not much of an accomplishment considering Obamacare cancelled 6.5 million individual policies. Screw all of these enemies of the people.
How many of these are paying full-freight and not getting “subsidies”?

You have noted an Inconvenient Truth that could make Obama/Democrats look bad. That means you are a liar (Harry Reid), a racist, and likely a homophobe, as well.

75 million people today went to Amazon.com. I think only 10 million bought something. What number matters?
Thanks for referencing that article Kaslin. But I don’t trust any federal government numbers.
The coverage that you purchase (non-Medicaid) is with an insurance company. It may be an insurance company that is donating large amounts to Democrats, but meets the definition.
How about a FReeper poll...How many FReepers have signed up?
I do not count, as Obumbocare does not apply to me.
If someone were to apply/enroll, then (for whatever reason) want more time to think about it, could that person dis-apply/enroll?
Weren’t they bandying around the number as 54 million uninsured as a reason to embark on this pogram?
How many are paying customers, and how many are young and healthy without pre-existing conditions?
“BREAKING” means it’s slowing down, right?
