Is there any rationale for this?
I could be wrong, but it seems like whoever is managing the water distribution was hired for their credentials as an “environmental activist” and not for their scientific credentials. Considering that radical environmental activists have expressed their desire for people to die off, placing such a person in this kind of job may not be the wisest decision.
The fish have survived just fine with water distribution; they will continue to survive.
Somebody do the math, I've only been up for about ten minutes but this just doesn' t sound right. 43,560 sq ft in an acre and those two cities are measured in sq miles

Folks in the Central Valley are total and complete cowards. They need to take matters into their own hands and turn this around. Lose your land, income and way of life and do nothing. If Americans in the past had followed this cowed existence there would never have been an America. I have no sympathy for this bunch of gutless, spineless fools.

In the harebrained effort to save the stupid smelt, they are on track to piss off enough people so much that eventually someone will be driven over the edge, and instead of killing themselves, they will dump a hundred gallons of cyanide or something into the river and poof, the smelt will be extinct.

No problem once Obama hears how many illegals are out of work he will fund desalination plants.
