Televisions Judge Judy filed a lawsuit Wednesday against a Connecticut personal-injury lawyer, alleging that he used her image without authorization in advertisements that falsely suggested she had endorsed his firm.
The lawsuit filed in federal court seeks more than $75,000 in damages from Hartford attorney John Haymond and his firm.
Judith Sheindlin, a retired Family Court judge who has starred in Judge Judy for 18 years, said this is the first time she has filed a lawsuit against anyone. She said the unauthorized use of her name and image is outrageous and requires action.

Wow...you have to really be a dumb ass to use her image without permission....
well... Some lawyers really really stupid. Makes the other 3 or 4% look bad ya know.
That only applies to rock stars, really.
Good. She obviously is doing this on principle. She makes 25 million a year on Judge Judy so 75,000 dollars is like twenty minutes for her at most.
Good for her and where an money award will end up going.
Class act has no equal.
How did that Conn. lawyer pass the bar? They teach this stuff in basic torts. .
Yea like the lawyers in the bratty kid case suing her parents.
Case in point - Congressman Hank (Guam is gonna tip over) Johnson is a lawyer.
” Mr. Haymond, are you on some sort of medication??”
I love when she says that to someone.
