i can’t believe it won’t affect the franchises. like how suppliers deal with them and such.

"The company owns seven of its stores and has $400 million in debt?"

I agree - that requires some explanation.

I suspect they used to own a lot more of them, but sold them off as the stores lost more and more money.

The only Quiznos I know of were open for a few years and then closed their doors.

That’s about $190k per store.

Might they be financing their franchisees?

I ate there once. I eat at Del Taco a couple of times a week. You need a good product at a good price to make it in the fast food business.

What really sucks is that it is a pretty good sandwich shop compared to the other options around here

You could see it coming. Long before they hit bankruptcy their buns were toast.

There was a Quiznos store one block from where I work. I tried their sandwiches at least 10 or more times before I gave up and returned to Subway (3 blocks further away). They always put too much vinegar in their sauces.

NOOOO! Their subs were great compared to the dry tasteless ones from Subway.

There was a Quiznos that closed 2 miles form my house. The thing that struck me was they had 3 people to make a sandwich. One to assemble the sub, another to toast, add the non toastable ingredients and wrap it, and another as cashier. Seemed pretty inefficient.
