The maker of Sam Adams beer says it is withdrawing its sponsorship of Boston's St. Patrick's Day parade because organizers exclude gay groups.

Another useless fool who doesn’t understand what the fight is really about.
No one in the parade’s organization has said that a gay person can’t take part in the march. What they HAVE said is that gay activists are not welcome to engage in advocacy or tote political banners, because the parade isn’t about that. It’s about Irish heritage. No other group gets to turn the parade into a pet political cause, either.
It’s not about homophobia or any other nonsense. It’s about not being able to stop yourself from hijacking every single public event in an attempt to make it about your pet political cause.
Jim K. can stuff it. I think his beer is overrated, anyway. Way too many bittering hops for my liking.

I stopped Miller’s when I learned the were a major sponsor of gay pride parades and orgies.

Everyone dropping them should email them a quick note as to why. Won’t change anything but we should all make a habit of it just to let them all know they haven’t steamrolled everyone.

Now that the company has chosen to celebrate sodomy, I will choose to never purchase its product again.

On behalf of my group of beer officianados out here I sent Sam Adams Beer Company a polite note expressing our condolences on the loss of their collective integrity for giving in to a bunch of bullies ... adding that based on our decision to stop buying their fine products they’ll probably need to lay off a shift.

Good. The more we all vote with our cash, the better. Letting them know why never is a bad thing.
The bottom line is most of these products are easily replaced anyway by ones from a non PC-vocal company. In today’s market it’s impossible to completely avoid giving cast to people we’d rather not, but aside from a few near monopolies, we can do a LOT to deny them the funding they use against us.
