Unemployment Rate May Be Lower For Illegal Immigrants in US Than Nation's Black Citizens

The problem of illegal immigration in America is only getting worse as the years go by. And as those on both sides of the aisle pitch their “solutions,” it’s become all too clear that too often they aren’t addressing one of the root causes of the problem to begin with. It’s true our borders are not secure at all, despite what the Obama administration would like you to believe. But why the mad dash to enter the States? Simply put, there are jobs to be had—even though we’re a nation struggling with high unemployment.

This stat will go absolutely nowhere. The illegals wants the jobs, and the majority of the black community does not want to work. They'd rather live on the handouts. It won't be used by the race-baiters, because it shows blacks in a bad light, and the media cannot use it to paint whites on the Right as racists.

Interesting stat, but again, it will go nowhere.

There’s a reason and (imho) it’s culture not race.

Immigrants from central Africa in the U.S. labor force average more years in college than U.S. multi-generational descendants of immigrants from the same areas and same genotypes.

I can readily believe this. When I lived in Florida, the Haitians who came over on rickety boats were reputedly eager to work and better themselves. I ran into a couple of them working in my local market, really pleasant, helpful people.

And the local homies on welfare hate them because of that.

Yes, I know the Haitian gangs are the most merciless, but I cannot condemn a whole group because of the bad guys.

Bingo! How many blacks do you see at Home Depot looking for work? And how many hispanics do you see begging on street corners? It doesn’t take a rocket surgeon to figure this out.

But those Haitian gang members are highly motivated to make money!

The homies think they are really sticking it to whitey by living in housing projects and on welfare and foodstamps. Little do they realize that is exactly where the KKK and DNC want them.

The money gene and ethics gene (or maybe meme) aren’t necessarily correlated.

What I am trying to say is that pretty much any foreigner that comes to America has grown taught by their parents to be a bit more motivated to succeed.

American black people have been Socialized by the collectivists since 1965 to take handouts from Whitey McCracker-Honkey so their humanity has been stripped from them as a result.

Collectivism, no matter the form, destroys people, communities, states, nations, the environment, and everything else it touches.

A sizable portion of the black population gets paid for voting. Illegals don’t have that option.

Out of 12 million illegals there is only 7 or 8 million workers?

You got gangmembers and Dreamers with calves the size of cantaloupes. You got Obama’s Uncle or Aunt retiring on welfare.

The black population is more aged than the illegal population. It is hard to know.

I know a Hispanic with a green card. I asked him about his job and they were working him 60 hours a week at $12/hour. I asked about premium pay and he didn’t get any. I said Florida law required it. He said, “I told them I’m illegal. Otherwise they wouldn’t have hired me.”

(Since then he’s started his own business and is doing well.)

If you have a bit of free time, pick up Tom Wolfe's Back to Blood, published in 2012.

Yes, it's a work of fiction but Wolfe really does capture the tension that exists between ethnic groups in Dade County, Florida. Although this recent effort by Wolfe wasn't popular (perhaps because it's very un-PC), I found the story compelling and it supports your analysis.

Thank you so much for the book suggestion. I just now ordered it from my library — they have many copies.

I actually like the cultural mix of South Florida, but from my own rather idealistic perspective. My Argentinian friend lives in Little Havana, which is quite lovely in places. Sweet homes, gorgeous landscaping, gentle people. I shop at a wonderful Spanish fresh market there when I’m in the area. Also a Middle East market for spices of the world. Don’t mind being the only blue-eyed blonde:)

What I don’t miss is the horrible miserable traffic. Worst drivers in the world, no one gives an inch.

To be fair, I must add that I spent six months in Ft. Lauderdale a few years ago, rented a condo in a mixed area. The black families were wonderful, probably integrated for generations. The kids were polite and funny…and moms kept them well in hand. Same for the Spanish families, who were perhaps a little less friendly and outgoing. A middle-class area, good houses, cars, etc.

Guess I’ve been fortunate to have seen the up side of multicultural places. My first day in SoCal, decades ago, I saw four guys on a tennis court having a really good game: one white, one asian, one hispanic, one black. No kidding. Made me happy to see such casual acceptance. But then, these were educated, middle-class guys.

I think you'll enjoy getting to know Nestor Camacho, a police office who lives in Hialeah, but ends up getting disdained by many in that community because of an act of bravery. Well...if I tell you too much more, you won't have to read the book! :)

One bit of Spanish that I did pick up from Wolfe's book is this phrase: "Yo no creo El Miami Herald!"

Have a good read, FRiend.

My question it says 8 million illegals have jobs. They go back and forth on number of illegals here.At times it’s 11 million.11.5 million and some went as far as to say 12 million.Giving it’s 11 million for over 14 years.8 million illegals would apply to about the start of year 2000.IN 2014 It would be double what they say or tripled. In congress the black caucus, spends more time on how better can we help illegals ? The black caucus supports the dream act. To me the black caucus has sold out
