The communications systems of missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 were deliberately disabled, Malaysia's Prime Minister Najib Razak has said.
According to satellite and radar evidence, he said, the flight then changed course and could have continued flying for a further seven hours.
He said the "movements are consistent with the deliberate action of someone on the plane."
The plane disappeared a week ago with 239 people on board.
The Kuala Lumpur-Beijing flight last made contact with air traffic control over the South China Sea to the east of Malaysia, about one hour after take off.
Mr. Razak told a news conference that new satellite evidence shows "with a high degree of certainty" that the aircraft's communications systems were disabled and then it changed course, flying back over Malaysia towards India.
Satellite signals continued to be picked up from the plane some seven hours after it lost radar contact.
Mr. Razak said the authorities were now trying to trace the plane across two possible corridors.

Perhaps Boeing should ground all 777’s indefinitely, considering. It might also be smart of Israel to ban any 777’s from flying within 100 miles of it’s border - also indefinitely. For all we know this plane is now hiding in plain sight, in a maintenance hanger, for instance.

We can only hope they watch every 777 coming near us...knowing our PC government, they will consider it racial profiling to ban any flights from certain countries with 777s

Scary, Drudge has on its headline plane flew on for 7 hours.
Very sad, when we first heard about this story, hell must have been breaking loose on the plane.
I have read way to many thrillers and military fiction books. Started doing so with my Dad when I was about 11.
We both thought the same thing when the news broke about the missing flight.

The plane appears to have climbed to near its operational ceiling. I suspect the pilot (whomever that was) depressurized the cabin before doing so.
That also might explain why the cell phones were still active for a time.

There’s so much bad stuff within the potential flight path of that plane from the Muslim Uighurs in Western China to the Thai Muslims terrorizing the south of the country, the Hindu Tamils versus the Sinhalese Bhuddists in Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Afghanistan Taliban etc. etc.
We can only hope they watch every 777 coming near us...
