The White House is backing off its push for quick confirmation of President Obama's pick to be surgeon general in the face of opposition from the National Rifle Association and concerns among Democrats up for re-election who don't want to take another tough vote on a controversial nominee.

“Has there ever been a lamer lame duck?”
Lame ducks are very dangerous when cornered.
This “White” House sure likes to appoint enemies of freedom and various stark, raving lunatics.
Show us who your friends are, Barry Boy, and I’ll show you who your are.
Almost his power was spent for an incredibly stupid healthcare law that gave dems no political cover at all.
Flashback........these cretans had the presidency the house and the senate in 08 and they still couldnt get it right now they’re on the sh## end of the stick and thier fighting tooth and nail. Thank god it took them almost 8 years to gain the experience to attempt this and fail
Perhaps the U.S. is simply not ready to be transformed into a Communist dictatorship.
That may be true, but the American people seemed to have learned nothing as a result, and he is still there consuming our freedom just as fast as he can.
Please - Cretans are natives of the island of Crete where the gun laws are unenforced & most everyone carries & they tell Athens to stick it. Smart folks.
Cretins were originally victims of low thyroid which caused low intelligence in them as children. Treatable.
The White House staff at this time can be best described as dangerous IDIOTS, like a chimpanzee with an AK-47 (video available).
This is good news. Looks like the “you disagree with Obama ‘cause he’s black!!” argument just isn’t cutting it anymore. The growing number of Democrats bailing on Obamacare could explain this. Even more don’t want the Anointed One campaigning in their districts.
Most Indian doctors I have dealt with are insufferably arrogant. The U.S. born ones aren’t, BTW.
ONLY because it the mid term. If we don’t flip the Senate and hold the house, we’ll see a renewed lineup of human garbage waiting in line for office.
"But the NRA said that Murthy's support of gun control, including a letter he sent to Congress last year in the wake of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, raised questions about whether he is motivated by science or politics."
His main qualification is that he started the group "Doctors for Obama" when he was 29. How does this indicate anything about his experience and knowledge for a medical advisory job? He's a political climber, a willing instrument for the radical ideas Obama loves.
