Wow. That stuff is in great shape.

That stuff is in great shape because an *army* of people *volunteered* to restore and maintain it. The guy provided a place where it could be done and supported the acquisition and resources needed.

It's a cryin' shame it couldn't be kept in NorCal. The climate is so mild we need only an overhead to keep the occasional rain off the exhibits. However the vibe in NorCal is very hostile to military history. Heck, San Francisco threw away the opportunity to host the Iowa! The fundraisers made no progress because state and city bureaucrats wasted no opportunity to disparage the idea. Same thing here.

Okay, I'll admit he went a little too far. I mean....TWO Shermans?

Other than that, just another guy in the 'hood.

I believe the Sherman in image 4 is an M1 Super Sherman used by the Israeli Army. The paint is close to Desert Tan(instead of Forest Green) which seems to be the standard color of U.S. vehicles since Desert Storm. I suspect the symbols on the turret are Israeli.

I visited there about 4 years ago. We saw one warehouse stuffed with armored vehicles. There are,I was told, seven.

Skink & One, I don’t have an armor ping list. Just put in a few Army folks I had recent exchange with.

However, I probably should look into how to create an Armor list. thanks for the suggestion.

Sorry to hear of Mr. Littlefield’s passing. He preserved a lot of history. I’ll always regret the fact that he didn’t use the Scud launcher on Sacramento.
