The progressive dream, of a benevolent state led by the best and the brightest caring for a grateful population unable to fend for itself, is dying a painful death. And it is starting to dawn on some of the smarter Democrats -- people like David Plouffe -- that they face an electoral Armageddon in November.

That is an oxymoron. Government indifference flowers into corruption, and the process is directly proportional to the size of government. Bloat, waste and inefficiency grow exponentially. The more money a government takes, the greater the thirst for more money. It’s an insatiable spiral that eventually consumes all.
Call me a pessimist, and other bad names. But I believe our system has been sufficiently corrupted, that I don’t believe our electoral process anymore. We will continuously go further left, and even if the powers that be make elections look real by occasionally letting rinos win from time to time, it is irrelevant because they will just be rinos placating the right but working on purely leftest goals

Socialism and communism has never created prosperity for the general public. Only the politicians and their cronies get rich under socialism. China is one heckuva example. Starting from grinding poverty under Mao-Tse-Tung, it now has over a million new millionaires. And soon to be the largest economy in the world.
Why would they not be in denial about it — they’ve engineered the disaster we’re in RIGHT NOW, and don’t even acknowledge that it exists. Thnks elhombrelibre.

...which is why they’re trying to pivot on “income inequality” and sodomy....and it is working with some....a glance at a friend’s facebook page (I don’t do that crap) shows how brain dead even some of Obama’s “non-base” demographics are falling for the sodomy and income inequality nonsense.

Comments made by my son’s liberal (now formerly liberal) friends, young people at my church, young people at Walmart, two former big-time Obama supporters; one actually campaigned for him, among others. In the past week I’ve had two in their late twenties ask me how they could join the Tea Party, if they accepted younger members, how much it cost, etc...
That’s refreshing especially the former Obama supporters. If you look online there are murmurs and complaints about him by the younger crows everywhere. Obamacare, designed to enslave the common man, will be the catalyst that frees him...sort of sounds like turning that meant for evil into good...
