Full Title: iPhone users are disappointed with the iOS 7.1 software update that's draining their batteries, erasing their contacts, and flipping their keyboards

With every new I-phone software update comes the potential for problems and the iOS 7.1 released on Monday is no exception.

Customer's say it's killing their phone batteries among other pesky glitches.

The iOS7.1 is the first major update to Apple's newest operating systems for iPhones and iPads and the apple community is lamenting poor battery charges, disappearing contacts, bad Bluetooth connections, keyboards oriented the wrong way, and the list goes on, reports the Huffington Post.

Don’t listen to Rush at all so no clue what he said, but do a “hard” reset. Hold on/off button down as you press the home button. After 10 seconds it does a hard reboot. That eliminates most related issues.

My update running fine and I like the changes quite a bit.

I’ll wait for the jailbreak and Apple to fix the bugs in the new iOS before I upgrade.

As I said. No compelling reason. I used to be the guy first in line for any new technology. Not anymore. Let someone else be the beta (or in the case of microsoft, the alpha) tester.

Mime’s working fine, and so’s my Wife’s.
The only issue I have is my, “Other,” area fills up if I’m watching movies on my iPhone over the LAN at home from my iTunes library. Only way I’ve found to empty it is to restore it. Never had that problem with the 3GS or 4S models.

Just imagine if Apple and Tesla merged..

and floated off into space on a giant saucer..

built by Elon Moosk and Timmy ‘who burnt the apple turn-over’ Cook.

My wife and I have agreed that an iPhone that no one can master is not worth tossing a relationship over.

From, iPod to iTouch to iPhone to the iBlow-OSes..

there have been moments.. then add iTunes to the mix..

oh man.

Her phone seems to be behaving , done the hard reset, soft hard, hard soft, .. at least I can open my Galaxy to reseat the battery without a jeweler’s screwdriver assist.

And the new CEO is actually telling investors they should sell!

Except, that is NOT what he said. Read the exact quote spoken to a specific person—who was demanding a unilateral change response from Tim Cook to a policy that had just been voted down 97 to 3 by those very investors—not to all investors in general, and not what was taken out of context and made a generic advice to all investors by an organization with an agenda.

You have fun with your patent infringing Android products.

We did? Not that I know of. My iPhone 5 I'm using cost me zero, as the trade-in value of my iPhone 4S that I'd used two years sold for MORE than the cost of my new iPhone 5! My friend who wanted to upgrade his three month old Samsung Galaxy 3s was offered only $35 on his trade in. . . and he'd paid full bore retail because his previous Samsung Galaxy 3 crapped out in the middle of his contract after the warranty expired.

I, on the other hand, got $275 trade-in on a phone I paid $149 for two years ago. . . I got the latest iPhone when I upgraded (let's see, that was 16 months ago) and it was on special for $149.99 at BestBuy with a two year contract renewal. They waived the activation, but I had to pay sales tax on the "retail" value of my new iPhone 5, so my out of pocket was a negative $76.09.

If someone wants an iPhone today, they can get an iPhone 5S starting at $129 (currently on sale at Wallmart), a iPhone 5C for $79 , or a iPhone 4s for free. So who are the morons paying $600????

Yes, I know you are paying for the phones over the length of the contracts. . . but the contract remains the same price regardless of whether you get a junk phone or a top of the line phone. . . Except for the down payment. some Android phones are more expensive than Apple iPhones, but have for lower resale or trade-in values just months later.

Reporting back after the software update to 7.1. I updated this morning. I have a 4S and I do not have any problems with battery charge, contacts or anything else.

My phone cost $38 new (3 years ago) and I pay $15/month. And it’s not loaded with apps that are easily trackable and easily exploited by identity thieves. I guess everybody’s gotta do their own thing. Considering the pain people are going through, I’ll stick with my LG900.
