Also, that the little girls are wearing white, ballerina slip-type dresses with bare arms just does not strike me as authentic.

Is pedophilia actually ordered in the Koran? It is a major problem in the Stan, especially with the boys, because 60% of sexually abused kids develop CPTSD and therefore the stability of that nation’s future is at risk. I would be curious about the history of this cultural issue. Muslims veil their brides. Hair and bodies are covered, and faces show. Maybe. Google up "muslim wedding child bride" or some such similar group of keywords and find out for yourself. I did a lot of searches to find out about your picture. It was a mass wedding in "Palestine" and it was sponsored by Hamas, but the actual brides were in _purdah_, which is consistent with custom.
What flabbergasted me is that they would allow their little girls out in public with so much bare skin. This is a culture that won't let children swim in public, or play soccer, or anything that might show a bare shoulder or knee.

To know why Islam is a mortal danger one must not only consider the Koran but also the character of Muhammad, who conceived the Koran and the entirety of Islam.
The Koran is not just a book. Muslims believe that Allah himself wrote it and that it was dictated to Muhammad in the original version, the Umm al-Kitab, which is kept on a table in heaven. Consequently one cannot argue with the contents. Who would dare to disagree with what Allah himself has written? This explains much of Muhammadan behaviour, from the violence of jihad to the hatred and persecution of Jews, Christians and other non-Muslims and apostates. What we in the West regard as abnormal, is perfectly normal for Islam.
A second insuperable problem with Islam is the figure of Muhammad. He is not just anyone. He is al-insan al-kamil, the perfect man. To become a Muslim one must pronounce the Shahada (the Muslim creed). By pronouncing the Shahada one testifies that there is no god that can be worshipped except Allah, and one testifies that Muhammad is his servant and messenger.
The Koran, and hence Allah, lays down that Muhammad’s life must be imitated. The consequences of this are horrendous and can be witnessed on a daily basis.

In the Third World, girls have little economic value, other than as wives to men who can support and feed them. In such societies, people are often at the edge of survival. When the supply of viable husbands (ie, those who can actually support a family) is less than the supply of girls, then the excess girls are killed.
In Islamic countries, where a wealthy man can have multiple wives and pay a bride-price for them (mahr), then girls have economic value, and the parents have an incentive to let them live, at least long enough to unload them onto a husband and let HIS family feed them.
