Obama and The Democrats Plot To Control America: The Worst is yet to come
am thinker ^ | 3/17/14 | e lasky

Barack Obama’s presidency will come to an end. The legacy of pain he will leave behind will not -- at least for years to come. He and his fellow Democrats plan to keep their grip on the levers of power-even if they lose control of Congress and the White House. And they will do so with “invisible hands” gone but not forgotten.

Every first-term president has a single compelling desire: to win a second term. But for Obama and his liberal allies to accomplish a second major goal, to “fundamentally transform America,” requires more than two terms. Their agenda depends on fundamentally transforming our government and how its vast powers will be deployed.

How was this done?

The trillion-dollar so called “stimulus” bill was the first major step to vastly increase our spending and deficits. It was a sign of things to come. Budget-breaking binges have followed with no serious efforts to control our massive federal debt. The Democrats have run up more red ink than all previous administrations combined.

The entitlement crisis has been a crisis that has not been allowed to go to waste. Under Obama’s feeble economy and sputtering “recovery” (the weakest in modern history), spending on welfare, food stamps, and disability payments have soared. Hooking people onto the government IV line is an excellent way to increase dependency and the number of future dependable Democrats. It is also an excellent way to bankrupt America.

Unhidden, by and large, Obama's work will be felt by generations.

Meanwhile, we have a lot of Freepers cringe when the word "impeachment" or "Constitutional Convention by the States" is brought up.

The Founders had it a lot harder for them. We are watching our country go to hell right in front of our eyes.

Agreed...

FR has been infiltrated by the same groups that want America reduced to 3rd world status...

While we sit and argue over methodology to change the course, the Progressives advance in lock-step NEVER giving an inch & NEVER retreating...

It will take DECADES to reverse the current damage... I’m not sure many here have the stomach or backbone for the long haul...

“As democracy is perfected, the office of the President represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day, the plain folks of the land will reach their heart’s desire at last and the White House will be occupied by a downright fool and complete narcissistic moron.”
-—H.L. Mencken, the Baltimore Evening Sun, July 26, 1920

I saw this the other day and it stuck in my mind.
Is it a correct quote from Mencken? I do not know, but it sure is a correct quote from someone.

Staffing at government agencies (think Lois Lerner) will have a huge impact.

The government agencies (EPA NSA, IRS, NLRB,...) have been packed with fellow travelers who will promote the Progressive agenda regardless of who holds political office.

These agencies need term limits, not politicians.

The USA will never be the same after Obama. The milquetoast GOP leadership will never have the will to tear down the entitlement society created under Obama and even Obamacare will never be repealed. The USA Reagan envisioned as a shining city on a hill and a beacon of freedom to the world is no more and I doubt will ever be seen again. We have lost a national vision and the nation that put men on the moon, resisted Communist world domination and maintained peace in the world has been forever destroyed by Obama. Even the freedom and liberty created by our Constitution has been eroded to the point where we are no longer seen as a free society.

I’m all for impeachment. A Constitutional Convention, not so much. My feeling is, that with the bunch that is in control of the Country now, the Constitution is better left as is. Once the Democrats and their surrogates masquerading as a political Party, the Republicans get hold of it and start working on it, you won’t be able to recognize the finished product when they are through.

This country's problem is spiritual, not political or economic. Our loss of freedom (political decay) and prosperity (economic decay) are symptoms of our loss of authentic faith in God. A righteous, healthy nation would have laughed at the likes of Barack Obama running for President.

If you don't fix the cause, fixing the symptoms is just wasting your time.

Is it a correct quote from Mencken?

TRUE

The larger the mob, the harder the test. In small areas, before small electorates, a first-rate man occasionally fights his way through, carrying even the mob with him by force of his personality. But when the field is nationwide, and the fight must be waged chiefly at second and third hand, and the force of personality cannot so readily make itself felt, then all the odds are on the man who is, intrinsically, the most devious and mediocre — the man who can most easily adeptly disperse the notion that his mind is a virtual vacuum.

The Presidency tends, year by year, to go to such men. As democracy is perfected, the office represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. We move toward a lofty ideal. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

All a CC can do is propose amendments for ratification by the states. They have the same power Congress has right now, IOW. But they aren't Congress! -- that's the difference.

I think the problem with many is that they believe that this can all go away with the next election. That is what keeps us paralyzed to inaction.

If the dems cheat or we lose in 2014, we will once again do nothing and swear that if we just win the 2016 election, we can turn all this back.

No matter what happens, the left isn’t going away. Win or lose they will keep up the pressure. Americans no longer control the Government, it is now a global body that operates outside the Constitution.

The idea is that the US, Mexico and Canada are to become one. Like it or not, with amnesty, we are pretty much over.

FR has been infiltrated by the same groups that want America reduced to 3rd world status...

You must be referring to those who post "if you don't vote for the RINO in November, it's your fault that Obama (insert other names as desired) was elected/re-elected."

These are the same people who come on FR to trash anyone affiliated with the TEA Party, because they're too extreme.

I have news for these folks: RINO incumbents are equally guilty for our 17T deficit, and other ills, because they too easily go along to get along.

Case in point: that last vote on the debt ceiling. Cornyn voted for cloture, then voted against raising the debt ceiling. A vote for cloture was THE vote for raising the debt ceiling, and everybody knew it.

Personally, I despise the son of a bitch that currently occupies the White House. That being said, there is one fact that I never lose sight of: He was put in office by winning an election, two elections actually. In both elections, he received a majority of votes cast Nationwide. this, to me, says volumes about our morals, principles, scruples, love of Country, and character as a Nation. None of it good. The fact that a majority of those who consider themselves to be Americans would desire to be governed by someone with the morals, principles, and character of the son of a bitch that currently occupies is best uncommented upon by me.

Barack Obama’s presidency will come to an end.

But the idiots, greedheads, moochers, racists and America haters who elected him twice will still be out there voting and reproducing.

“Unhidden, by and large, Obama’s work will be felt by generations.”

Notwithstanding voter fraud, the Progressives have been willingly elected by an electorate that has been converted to the Progressive way of thinking.

The little Obama’s are walking around all over the place and nothing will change it.

IMHO

The idea is that the US, Mexico and Canada are to become one. Like it or not, with amnesty, we are pretty much over.

The borders in question no longer represent barriers between differing cultures - so for economic reasons, it seems expedient to the elites to simply do away with them. NAFTA has pretty much taken care of that already, but the elites' desire to annex Mexican labor and Canadian resources is simply too strong to be overcome by mere voters with quality-of-life concerns.

Excellent point.

One of the major differences between the parties is that the democrats persevere while republicans generally do not.

Democrats can slop at the pig trough and still plot, plan and pursue their long term agenda.

republicans seem to be unable to do anything else once they have their snouts in the pig trough.

Impeachment is our best hope. If ever it was warranted, it is now. It is the only peaceful solution because waiting it out is like waiting for Vesuvius to “calm down” circa 79ad.

Anybody wanting to have a Constitutional Convention is sick in the head. Can you imagine? The first cut would be right to arms. Second would be to change the right to speech, third would be to change the right to practice religion. The naive people who want this are not very smart.
