WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama on Monday froze the U.S. assets of seven Russian officials, including top advisers to President Vladimir Putin, for their support of Crimea's vote to secede from Ukraine. The sanctions are the most comprehensive since the end of the Cold War.

Obama said he was moving to "increase the cost" to Russia, and he warned that more people could face financial punishment.

Wow. He's really a stickler for 'costs' of late.

It seems to be his new favorite 'bite'.

Unfortunately, Putin is into 'bite me' these days.

It's his latest schtick from the old trick bag..

as in, schtick it to the West..

What good are “sanctions” going to do, if they aren’t going to be enforced, as recent history of the Current Regime has shown us? Consider the situation with Iran, and their nuclear enrichment program.

The value of sanctions is of minimal impact anyway. As evidence, consider the effect sanctions have had against Cuba.

Fidel and Raul will BOTH die of old age before any positive effect for the US will be apparent.

I’m 100% SURE the Late-Night Comics and the Daily Show will be all over this tonight, mocking Obama furiously, Right??

OH WAIT...
They all want to keep those jobs, and not be branded as a racist.

And you wonder WHY the Russians are mocking us?

I remember Obama and his loser's claiming that GW Bush had no coalition in Iraq . In fact he had over 40 counties.

I don't see anyone on board with Obama and Russia invaded a Country.

Boy the World really likes him.

According to Twitter. Russian Deputy PM Dmitry Rogizn said he doesn’t have any assets abroad. He then asked if Obama hadn’t thought of that.
