MURRAY, Ky. (AP) - Texas Gov. Rick Perry threw his support behind U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell on Saturday, telling 300 fellow Republicans that the minority leader will win re-election.
McConnell finds himself in a GOP primary fight with wealthy businessman Matt Bevin, who attended the event but wasnt allowed to speak.

I see our good Gov. Goodhair has already stumbled in the race for 2016...
This is what politicians do, big deal. If McConnell asked for Perrys endorsement, he’s really desperate. Who in KY cares what Rick Perry says, anyway?
Sorry, I did a search first.
“Still doubters out there about Perry’s RINOcity?”
I HAD thought he was just a poor debater and/or stupid. With this I realize that he is a poor debater, stupid AND a useful idiot for the progressive ruling elite and the GOPe.
Gov. Perry exposes himself as an insider RINO POS
“Matt Bevin, who attended the event but wasnt allowed to speak.”
He's going for the anti-Ted Cruz vote.
In the military it was called brown nosing.
Perry has been good on the economy and the Second Amendment. Also on the budget. Otherwise, not so much, but that was enough to make him acceptable as governor for this Texan.
Gonzales is good on all of those, too. Plus a lot more. So See Ya, Goodhair...
Perry appears to be brainless, yet he has the nerve to call me heartless :D
My gubner good hair has always been a corporate clown.
People Republicans have NEVER been your friend they use you like Demoncraps use blacks and Hi-spanics.
The only way to stop the raping of the treasury is through defeat of crony. capitalist by soap box, ballot box, or cartridge box.
“Smart”? LOL!!!! Nothing that the globalist illegal lover La Raza Ricardo Perryista does is ‘smart’ noobie. Start paying attention.
If he wasn’t going to win there was no reason for Perry to speak out. The primaries are the one chance we have of kicking out RINOs. Perry should have kept his mouth shut.
Remember when she was the Darling of Conservatives on weekend Talking Head TV shows?
Remember when there were conservatives on those shows?
Bad decision, Bucko!
really sorry to read this and learn of Perry’s comments...
He more than likely just lost a ton of support..I’m on CRUZ CONTROL, but I could have supported Perry if all else fails, but no longer..
McConnell damaged himself big time when he criticized TEA PARTY supporters..plus his Senate actions..just to weak to be a leader..we need to toughen up..like last year!!!..
wake up voters..
Disappointed of course. Sadly she also supported Orin Hatch, but so did Mark Levin.
Perry has much more than this on his plate, none of which is Tea Party friendly.
There has to be some payoff down the road, for Perry to make this decision. Look for the money/power trail he is after. He must be smart... but he doesn’t show it. When he spoke at CPAC, it looked forced. I’m not sure where he is.
mcconnell has changed his anti Tea Party tune recently... seeing the danger of losing his position... but like an elephant, we remember. Some do not.
Sarah has not disappointed us.
I’d like for Boehner to remember who made him Speaker and I’d like for the rest of the republicans to know our numbers can make or break them. But they haven’t and they won’t. It’s beneath them.
I honestly think they do not realize the amount of anger out here... nor do they know the numbers that makes up the Tea Party. Thus, they are going to listen to the dems on what they should do, rather than the conservatives. We have been dismissed as unimportant. They’d rather lose to the dems than win with the conservatives.
The problem with the repubs coming to their senses is ... the results of their actions won’t be known until it’s too late. They didn’t learn a solitary thing from the last election. Not a single thing!! and they won’t recognize it this time around either.
Just GET THEM OUT OF THERE!!!
Never understood what the heck changed her into an unrelenting LIB?
Anyone know the story!!!
