The magnitude 4.4 earthquake that struck near Westwood is the most significant shake in Southern California since a 5.5 earthquake hit Chino Hills in 2008, a U.S. Geological Survey seismologist told reporters at a news conference Monday morning.

Robert Graves said there have been at least six aftershocks since the 6:25 a.m. earthquake. The largest so far has been a magnitude 2.7 earthquake that struck five miles northwest of Westwood.

Well, it’s like the good man in Sodom.

Perhaps you should leave and not look back.

Its tough living in LA, the belly of the beast when it comes to liberalism, but there are Conservatives here, we are a rare breed but we do exist

I watch the ABC quake cam and also the USGS site along with being on a forum.
We did have some minor, 2 pointers and less in Studio City last week.
This particular quake today was on the New Madrid fault and from what I understand has NOT been active..

We will see......

Even God spared Sodom because there were still a few righteous people left in town. Now, when they left...blammo!

I was up on the High Desert living in 94 when the Hector Mine 7.2 quake hit....now that was pretty good shake,

And aftershocks rumbled for months,.

Unlike tornadoes,,,,there are no warnings,.

And do get a sense of humor.

No problem, lets hope the New Mexican drought lasts another 40 years after being struck by a 1/8 mile wide asteroid.

What a knee slapper!

Then again, maybe not.

Yep - that's what I figure...maybe an "early shock" for the big one that hits in 2160

No. It wouldn’t. We’d take half to 3/4 of the Nation’s food with us and a heck of a lot of it’s oil. There is more but I digress.

Yeah, woke the wife and I up this morning. Definitely a rattler.
