What's next? A quota for Race, Sexual Pref, etc., etc?
Commenter at link thinks one of the reasons to have more women onboard is they tend to vote for more government.

“What’s next? A quota for Race, Sexual Pref, etc., etc?”
Is there any doubt?

Welcome to socialism, where everything is rationed. Including public office.
Why even have elections? Let’s have the “quota board” select all the public officers. But what will be the makeup of the “quota board?”

So in District 5 a majority votes for Joe Shmo who gets 55% but Betty Hoe who got 43% wins because fewer women won in other districts.
That ought to do down well in Disrict 5.

What about Transgendereds? Aren’t they going to have to include slots for them as well?

A little history is in order here. Montana elected Jeanette Rankin to the U.S. Senate
before the 18th amendment was even voted out of congress. Her main claim to fame is as the only person in congress who voted against our entry in to both World War I and World War II.
The western states were way ahead of the rest of the country in women's rights. Wyoming, Utah, Idaho, Colorado and Montana were the first to give them the right to vote and hold office. Part of the motivation was because the men wanted to attract the more sturdy women from the east to come out and settle.

This is way, WAY beyond stupid. The only way this can possibly work is if each seat is duplicated so that there can be a male and a female from each district.
Then what do you do when the remainder of the Facebook 56 clamor for ‘equal rights’.
To: QT3.14
Thanks to Progressives, this is a meaningless effort in an era when a person can legally become a black just by claiming he/she is black, or can legally become a female just by claiming he/she/it is a female.

This smells of discrimination, as there are more women than men.
So Women are still being discrimiated against (sic)
BTW, I want an equal number of postal workers, barmaids and janitors also represented in Montana statehouse

Typical idiocy of the left. No points for merit, hard work, individual accomplishment. All about sex, race, “equality”. Unreal.

So if a man is elected and there are only women slots available, is it OK if he just self identifies as a female like Brandly Mannning?

I’ll take a Conservative female over a Liberal male any time.
Stupid rule nonetheless.
