Russia is already the new sovereign in Crimea even before the treaty ratification. The Russian Federation as of today - has a new land border with Ukraine.

How is this more aggregious than what the US and NATO did with Kosovo except not bombing a sovereign nation that had done nothing to us. Or Libya for that matter?

The Republic of Crimea is considered to be accepted into Russia from Tuesday, March 18 — the date of signing the Agreement between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Crimea

"Considered to be accepted" is eerily similar to "deemed to be passed", the sleazy way that ObamaCare was forced on unwilling Americans. I wish liberals had the honesty to just say what they are doing:

"Russia is seizing the Crimea because the West is led by a bunch of sissies."

or

"Obama, Pelosi, and Reid are forcing ObamaCare on Americans because so many were dumb enough to vote a controlling block of known socialists into power, and this massive law will give the ruling class literal power of life and death over any little people who might otherwise oppose FedGov.

Vladimir Putin will remain in history as "The man who won a war single-handed, without firing a shot"

If you look at Putin’s facial expression, this is the face of the alpha dog guy.

And that is exactly why Russians love him! He doesn’t back down and he doesn’t bring a knife to a gun fight.

There is no leader of his caliber anywhere in the West.

Very astute observation. I had already noticed it when I saw him in company of his dogs, who consider him to be the alpha male. Dogs know better than Obama, who isn't even able to control his dog Bo, lest the country or the world.

This will start a wave of secessions and acquisitions all over the world. Europe will shatter, China will expand, muslim immigrant regions will secede.

Does it matter to you or me me that Russia has taken it over?
I detect no real change to my life.

I’m hitting the snooze button.

About as much as when Hitler marched into the Rhineland.

Of course, nobody can predict the future, and no one can say with certainty if Putin will follow the same path as Hitler.

One thing that should be happening that no one is talking about, is beginning to look at contingency plans for supplying Europe with energy, so as to not be so reliant on Russian sources.

But that makes too much sense.
