The point is , How do they KNOW it was an Amish buggy?
Profiling?
What if it was a MUSLIM buggy?
What if it was a Presbyterian or Lutheran?
Maybe it was a Catholic celebrating St. Patrick’s Day..........

For all we know the buggy might have been buggyjacked by some aspiring rapper!

Yep. I am guessing there is more to the story than what we're seeing here. The woman in the CRV might have been the actual perp and clipped the buggy. The damage on the LEFT (driver's) side is especially suspicious.
The buggy tried to pass her? More likely, she came to a place in the road with a wide sport or shoulder and tried to pass the buggy because it didn't move over soon enough to suit her.
The Amish have a well-known aversion to getting involved with the law, so if the damage to the buggy was nominal, it is much easier just to fit it yourself and forget it. However, the woman has to explain something to her insurance company.

The Media is painting the whole Amish community with a very wide brush, to automatically assume it was an Amish buggy. There ought to be outrage at this slander!............................

The buggy then left the scene and its driver has yet to be identified... Little known to most people is.. the worker (usually a man) uses the buggy to go to work and gets out and the horse goes back to the barn so the wife can use it for the rest of the day. At a specific time, the horse pulls the buggy back to the workplace where the man is. Once the man gets home, he unharnesses the horse until the next day so the horse can get some rest. Nice Horsie.

. The damage on the LEFT (driver's) side is especially suspicious. Don't you think that if she tried to pass and clipped the buggy while passing the damage would be on the right (passenger's) side?

Yes it just disappeared with no communication. It may be hidden in a barn somewhere. The last know path was down a trail. Must look for debris..................

Don’t the buggies have the right of way wherever they can be legally driven?

My daughter went to school in New Wilmington. Said the Amish boys liked to crash the frat parties. She liked to crash them also, except that she was with campus security, looking to bust under-age drinkers.
