Russian lawmakers ask President Obama to impose sanctions on them all
RussiaToday ^ | 3-18-2014 | RT

The State Duma has passed a motion suggesting that the US and EU extend the freshly introduced sanctions to all Russian MPs rather than a limited group of officials, defying western pressure just hours before Russia and Crimea signed a federation treaty.

The motion was supported by a unanimous vote on Tuesday morning. It was prepared the day before by all four parliamentary parties after representatives of the United States and the European Union said they were slapping sanctions, such as visa bans and asset freezes, on a number of Russian officials who are seen as “key ideologists and architects” of the policy towards Ukraine.

The State Duma motion reads that the US President’s decree was limiting the rights of Russian citizens and that similar discriminatory measures were approved by foreign ministers of the EU nations.

In a speech MP Mikhail Markelov (Fair Russia) called the move by the US State Department, President Obama and the European Union “an absurd attempt”, and suggested that the US punished all lower house members. “As long as they stress that MP Lyudmila Mizulina is on the blacklist, they should also impose sanctions on all 436 MPs who voted for the law that protects our children from gay propaganda,” Markelov noted.

“This is what America must have felt like in the late 70s. Thankfully I was too young to know what was going on or else I would have needed to start hitting the bottle.”

I was there. This is worse. Much, much worse.

Carter was ingenuous, sanctimonious and stubborn. Obama is malicious, capricious and perhaps borderline psychotic. It is the difference between Claudius and Nero in a rough analogy.

Obama has no f...g right to point fingers at foreign citizens and present their names as criminals, without ANY proof or jugement on his “list”. His “decree” is despicable. He doesn’t hold such rights, neither by the US Constitution, nor by any international law, the UN Charter or any other document.

He must pay attention what he says and does; one day he could be indicted as war criminal for the non-judiciary assassinations, using drones, in Pakistan, Yemen, Afghanistan, Somalia, Kenya and only God knows in what other sovereign country. It was estimated that in 2013 alone, 600 civilians were assassinated by American drones in Pakistan and Yemen.

What I don’t get is what does Putin and his gang get by mocking the ass...e in the whitehut? Surely it is obvious to all they guy is an empty suit. Why provoke him, if that is even possible. Worse, why inflame those of us in the US who despite our leader are nationalistic? Is he trying to incite a revolution here?? I wonder what he is up to.

I said years ago, just imagine the psych profile the FSB has on Obama, and the radical minions he is surrounded by.

The Russians are pushing Obama’s buttons, partly for domestic reasons, but mostly to make him over-react, I do believe.

Putin has pushed Obama in to a corner, again. This guy doesn’t take criticism well, and has a huge head, and that ALWAYS leads to bad decision-making, like Syria, which the Russians must feel they can capitalize from.

I’d LOVE to know who the FSB profiler responsible for Obama is.

"Obama has made it clear to the world that when confronted with a crisis, he will do nothing. This reduces his options to zero and puts the United States and the world into a situation where rogue nations, non-state organizations, and gangs of thugs can do as they please with no fear of any meaningful response from the U.S. It makes the world a much more dangerous place."

Thanks to Daniel Greenfield for the remarks below to explain where we are with Obozo as POTUS in The Post American order.

The Post-American order stands for nothing except its own dismantling. That is why Obama sets red lines that he won’t enforce and issues threats that he doesn’t mean.

The only thing less appealing than selfishness is the complete absence of self. The only thing less appealing than empire is an anti-imperialism that so thoroughly negates its own power that it has no influence and no reason to exist.

Post-American America exists to destroy itself. Until that changes, it has nothing to offer the world except membership in a suicide pact.

Thanks for bumping me to this thread. (psst, tcrlaf, you don’t have a tagline).

This needs to be pointed out consistently - homosexuality will not bring judgement upon our country; homosexuality IS the judgement. Romans 1:26 starts with “For this reason” and continues “God gave them up to vile passions.” “..men with men committing what is shameful”; so this is a judgement upon our society.

It also continues and says that they give approval to others for more and more evil acts. We see this today with our legislatures accepting homosexual marriages and the teaching of it as acceptable in the schools.

Note also that Romans 1:32 points out that those who approve of such conduct are just as guilty as those who engage in it.

Russia is trying to avoid becoming a third post with Sodom and Gomorrah.

Too funny. I love this.

Except for how embarrassing it is to be an American under the current excuse for a president.

To quote Elvis Costello, "Well I used to be disgusted, but now I try to be amused."

Thank you Russia.

I am not at all pleased with the mess you are making in the Ukraine, but I am please that FINALLY someone is mocking the stupidest imbecile to ever occupy the White House.

We cannot rely on our ‘free’ American press to do so.
Even the comedians don’t tell Obama jokes - we had to wait for the new Politburo.

I don’t recall ever seeing anything even approaching this level of jeering contempt toward an American president. He’s the laughingstock of the world.
