Has there been a military cover-up over missing jet? [Short title]

Asian military officials may be staging a mass cover-up over missing flight MH370, because they do not want to expose gaping holes within their countries' air defences, a leading aviation expert has suggested...[SNIP]...Now Thailand's military say they detected a plane at 1.28am, eight minutes after MH370's communications went down, heading towards the Strait but didn't share the information because they were not asked for it.

Each of those various countries probably figure their military security (and relative secrecy) is more important.

I do recall that when the Allies broke some codes, they had to allow some people to get killed, in order to keep the enemy from knowing they broke the communication code.

In a way, it is probably like that with these various military operations in these various countries.

Interesting. I was wondering something similar: if the Chinese, Iranians, Russians are paying close attention to the United States and any information that we might provide that might help them learn about our satellite tracking and other spy systems. Malaysia is right in their back yard.

It is possible that the US government knows the location of the plane but isn’t telling... not for a while, anyway.

I am certain that people (probably less than 20) in the US government know exactly where the plane is, either on the ground or below the water. But, to share that information would tip our hand on the capabilities of the systems in place. This is a shame for the families involved, but this is just the way that things are.

It seems for sure that some important information is being purposely withheld.

As I understand it the range of the aircraft from the satellite that was pinging the engines every 30 minutes was collected from the time of takeoff. The range for the final pinging has been widely shown and indicates that somewhere on or near that big arc you find the missing 777.

But if you had all of the 8 to 12 pings with corresponding arcs you could certainly do some what-if analysis using air speed as a variable and do at least an approximate track of that aircraft.

This seems obvious and so one would expect the math wizards at NSA/CIA/DOD must be doing that analysis assuming they have the data. I assume they do. I assume they therefore have a pretty good idea where to look. But they are mum on the subject. Somethings up.

Totally agree, but this is the same RAT govt that give away troop movements before they will happen. Makes no sense.

Maybe this dilemma was faced by Churchill...maybe not:

This is why you don’t tell the rat.

I’ve read about that and the steps they had to take to mask some of their responses in some cases.

Here is my conspiracy theory. If the pilot didn’t just kill all these people for whichever reason, there may have been a very high level Chinese target on that plane, and somebody wanted them strongly enough to go this far.

Or maybe all the Chinese are being held as hostages. The Muslims are stepping up attacks in China.

My guess is they are all dead. He could not have controlled all those people alive.

I see the US Navy continues to brag it has it’s top intelligence aircraft working the missing plane. The P-8A which in realty I’m surprised it can find it’s way down the end of a runway let alone locate anything. If the US knew where the aircraft was or went down you can bet they’d be bragging this aircraft found it.. justification so to speak.

Maybe somebody shot it down and they just don’t want to admit it?

“Speculation like this leads to the BS that spawned 911 truthers.”

Spying and plausible deniability existed LONG before 2001. Even before World War II.

Ya. Or they’d figure out a way for someone else to accidentally find it.
