It takes a certain kind of fool to fall for the economic death trap that is socialism after a 20th century filled with death, oppression, stagnation and eventual collapse at the hands of those who fought for Marx's flawed vision of human history and progress. Such a fool, while probably motivated by the noble ends of eradicating poverty and inequality, ultimately lacks the courage to see the world as it is and fight within the confines of reality to better it.
Rejecting a sober and honest appraisal of what works and what does not work given human history, he seeks to force the world to make sense, fighting blindly against the "contradictions of capitalism" by pushing for greater and greater control over the decisions of individuals in the often chaotic storm of transactions we call the market. At each turn he faces the harsh blowback of how people really respond to economic control.

People will learn nothing from this
Karl Marx was a not a kind visionary who wanted a better world for everyone. He was an angry man with an agenda. Every attempt at communism / socialism since has at one point or another empowered such people - with dire consequences.
Every socialist thinks they can make it work, just like those that believe in communism.
All socialists and communists are life losers. They are so desperate to not admit their worthlessness that they will murder others’ dreams, others and societies. They are sick puppies.
Too blind to see, and they shall so remain.
What about Venezuela’s close partner and coach, Russia?
In today’s America, where a HUGE percentage of the population gets their primary news from The Daily Show, and a celebrities twitter feed, if the networks choose not to cover it because a Democrat might look bad, it simply goes into the memory hole.

Easy. It’s called laziness, avarice, greed, envy, etc. All of the failings that make us who we are.

International and National leaders know that, which is why they feed the media what they do for public consumption.
What they don’t expect is when citizens begin to look at all these agency fronts their “worker ants” congregate in and work out of to do all the back door deals we never see until .....they pass a bill, (”so we can learn what’s in it.”) or establish their own ‘Empire” such as the EU Project etc.
Unfortunately media control, and “fixers” make sure the public gets the story they want the public to have...and it will alwys appeal to the masses.
When it hits a liberal in the face and that person starts crying, I laugh at them.
A little reason at teachable moments like this might get some of them on the conservative page better than laughing at them would.
Never happen. They simply cannot learn.

In order to explain the question “How can people be so blind” We don’t have to go as far as Venezuela, all we have to do is look around in our own backyard and perhaps we find the explanation why we have so many ignorant people who embrace socialism and elect some of the dumbest, conniving, power and money hungry scoundrels calling themselves liberals, money can buy.
Socialism never has or ever will work, yet way too many people embrace it as a panacea or solution for whatever may ail a society. Invariably it results in failure, yet people refuse to learn from history. Our current stagnant economy which is not going anywhere fast is a good example.
Just look at the currently perpetrated healthcare scheme forced upon the public, which has absolutely nothing to do with any one in our government having genuine compassion for the general public, but has everything to do with more and more governmental control and keeping the party originating this scheme in perpetual control.
Will the public ever learn, I have my grave doubts.
But they “feel good” because they see those rich people get theirs’.
I lick their tears, they are so yummy and sweet.
