Political newcomer businessman Bruce Rauner has been declared the winner in the 4-way race for IL Gov. in the Republican primary.

The ONLY reason this was anywhere near close is the last minute push by the unions to direct their members to pull Republican primary ballots and vote for Dillard, the next-highest polling candidate. A poor version of Operation Chaos, and nyah nyah unionistas, it didn't work.

Rauner has his work cust out to win in this blue state, but his campaign will shine a lot of light into very dark corners, and hopefully will bring about the change that is so badly needed in Illinois. Even the not-so mighty Quinn lost nearly 30% of votes to a haphazard weak challenger.

Go Rauner!

Good news. Did Oberweis win the senate primary?

The unions blow another $6,000,000 trying to beat Rauner. I think they’re starting to feel the heat. They will be All-in for Quinn come this November. I think Rauner can beat Quinn handily.

I think Oberweis is holding on over Truax.

Rauner, Rahm Emanuel’s bestest friend in the GOP. What a treat for the people of IL. The Combine got its puppets as usual again. Shameful and disgraceful.

Erika Harold lost as well (39% at last check).

Yes. Now he can retire permanently to Florida to not campaign. Bidness as usual again in Illinois.

I don’t know anything about Rauner, but if he wears an “R” in IL, we probably cannot expect another Phil Crane.

That really sucks. Oberweis will be crushed.

Oberweis, is he based on name ID? Has he ever won anything?

None of the candidates were great. Brady was the one that was the victim of Combiner voter fraud in 2010 (while the Combine delivered Mark Kirk’s victory). He was the least objectionable. Rutherford and Dillard were establishment RINO Combiners. Rauner was the worst of the bunch. I expect he will beat Quinn, as the Combine is fine with that. He will be another execrable RINO officeholder on par with fraudbot Kirk.

He won a SAFE GOP State Senate seat 2 years ago. And he once beat a conservative state Senator in a congressional primary by smearing him.

Durbin will grind him into dust and the funny thing is, his supports will encourage to run yet again.

Repost I just posted this in a different thread.

Governor

Rauner (RINO) squeaks out a win over Dillard (RINO). 40-37 with 97% in. Rauner’s running mate Evelyn Sanguinetti is speaking Spanish on stage and has a really of-putting manner.

The local news is reporting (if I understand them correctly) that democrats crossed over for Dillard, didn’t happen in my heavily rat Chi precinct, turnout was 1%. There were no major rat primaries, Quinn crushed a weak challenger.

Senate

Oberdouche beats Truax 56-44. Fail. 30 point loss in November likely for this perennial loser.

Tim Cross (RINO) wins the primary for Treasurer over Bob Grogan 57-43. Fail

CD 8, the erratic campaign of Pete Sessions’ recruited Manju Goel ended in massive defeat by more than 2-1 to underfunded primary challenger Larry Kaifesh. Cook/Rasmussen/Sabato all rate the seat as safe rat due to the weakness of the GOP challengers. Goel clearly would have had no chance. Kaifesh needs money to compete in November.

CD 9, Safe rat seat but it there is close GOP primary here, Susane Atanus, who says autism is God’s punishment for homosexuality, leads a Ron Paulbot by 52-48 with 93% in.

CD 11 State Rep. Darlene Senger beats Chris Balkema and Bert Miller in a fairly close 3-way race. Senger should be semi-competitive in November

CD 13 Davis beats Harold 54-41. Sigh.

CD 16, Adam Kingzinger crushes Rockford Tea-Party leader David Hale. Hale was a weak challenger and Rockford is only partially in the district.

IL House District 81. Gay marriage supporting incumbent Ron Sanduck leads conservative Keith Matune by 30 votes with 93% in.

It’s not good news. Rauner is combine RINO friend of Rahm.

Dillard is also a combine RINO.

Of course he will. He was so hell bent to win that state Senate race in 2010, yet he could care less about staying. He ought to just quit and let someone who is actually serious about serving. Obie is and has always been a menace.

Sounds like the low-turnout TX results two weeks ago were far, far more encouraging than what the IL uninformed can come up with. And that’s with Cornball’s landslide.

Mark Kirk is at Rauner’s victory party right now. That tells you all you need to know.

Even freepers are fooled by his saying all the right things.

If he’s not a horrible RINO in office, I’ll be pleasantly surprised.

With the exception of Massachusetts, Illinois may be the most premier example of a state in need of a second party. One Combiner RINO puppet vs. a Combiner Democrat is not a choice, it’s a visceral disgrace to a free republic.

The biggest loser tonight are the Public Sector Unions who dumped million of $$$$ in to Dillard’s campaign. So glad to see these groups lose.

Wasn’t Rauner preferable though?
