Where is a safe place to go besides the US. At least in the US there is some hope for rule-of-law and remedies when the rule-of-law is off-track. Most countries have immigration policies that would make it impossible to go there unless you already had a secured job in that nation. For example, try and take your software skills to India. Good luck.

I am told these websites like Monster and CareerBuilder are overflowing with resumes posted by French engineers looking to go anyplace else.

Well, the France of today does show a preference for the jihadiis and the whacked-out hard core muslims. duh!

And the leaders of France, much like the communists who now run New York City, don’t care. They only view those who leave as haters who wouldn’t vote for them anyway. Maybe DiBlasio, for example, will win his next election with 96% of the vote.

The “Death Spiral”.

Self reinforcing negative feedback.

The sources of tax revenues leave the system to avoid the high tax rates, the tax rates are raised to maintain revenues, repeat.

Sometimes I think this alone could be used to tell the rational from the irrational.

Same here. This country’s policies punish the acheivers, and reward the indolent. Combine that with an open arms policy for towelheads and you have a real problem.

Where is a safe place to go besides the US...

Isn't the tradeoff always between safety and freedom. I look forward to the day I can relocate to somewhere more "dangerous" (and more free).

“At least in the US there is some hope for rule-of-law and remedies when the rule-of-law is off-track.”

Over the past few years, I’ve come to doubt that. “Law” today has become emotion-based rather than founded in the Constitution. Affirmative action is indefensible under any interpretation of US law.

NJ is facing the same death spiral as NY, though our governor seems determined to slow or stop it. In the meantime, Americans continue to flee and the state is increasingly resembling a foreign country.
