And some were bashing that General last night who appeared on Hannity’s show who said that in 24-48 hours we would be finding out that this plane is in Pakistan

This reminds me of the incident where a cobra got lose from some guy’s house. They had all these people searching for this snake with traps etc. I drove over to the area and saw all the acres of woods and said “they ain’t ever gonna find that snake”. And they didn’t.

Same with this plane I’m afraid. After almost two weeks of this drama my opinion is that it is likely “they ain’t ever gonna find this plane”.

Or more obviously (can’t believe someone else hasn’t said this yet) perhaps the island was a refueling stop.

Agree, to the extent that it's all bs, or at least obfuscation. No one wants to admit that their radar personnel was out for an extended booze break, or that their military shot down the plane, or that their crew went bonkers or that their airplane fell apart or that the engine sputtered and stopped…I think they're trying to avoid having a 234-person class action suit filed against them.

The Malaysians must have studied that old business school classic:

Mushroom Management: Keep them in the Dark and FEed Them Manure.

I remember reading about the assasination of the Afghan opposition leader Massoud on Sept 10th 2001 by the suicide bombers with their TV camera bomb and wondered what such clever terrorists would do next. I think this incident fits into that category.

He would probably need 8,000 feet of runway minimum for take off with fuel and passengers and luggage/freight. And that would be cutting it kinda close. Throw out the passengers and luggage/freight and it would not be that bad.

I don’t think he stopped anywhere. Flew straight to Paki or Iran.
