It pains me to admit you’re probably right with a ‘99% there’ assessment.
It used to be that we did not have a problem here on the AZ Border with resident illegals. They just kept on moving ‘inland’. That has changed, and that should be a telling observation to those willing to listen. Read. Whatever.

I would guess Mexico encourages illegal immigration to the states because of money sent back to relatives in Mexico, it has to be a large amount.
