The President has embraced the term, but Nancy Pelosi is still a bit annoyed by that people keep referring to The Affordable Care Act as "Obamacare." The Democratic Congresswoman chided a reporter who asked her if the new law will be a "winner or loser" for Democrats facing re-election in 2014.
"I believe it's a winner, and by the way, it's called, 'The Affordable Care Act,' it's called, 'The Affordable Care Act.' I know you didn't intend any compliment, or derogatory...it's called, 'The Affordable Care Act,'" she replied.
Pelosi joked that she'd gladly tell President Obama the same thing before criticizing Republicans in the House for repeatedly attempting to repeal the law.
The Congresswoman said its opponents repeatedly try to get away from the word "affordable."
It’s OBAMACARE and it’s a huge, costly inefficient mess. Live with it, Nance.

This thing was ready to implement out of the box once there was a Dem majority in Congress and a Dem President. Obama really had nothing to do with it besides happening to be the Dem President at the right time.

Back in the day when they were all giddy with power and gloating about shoving their CommieCare down our throats they were happy to have it called Obamacare.
Now that it is the biggest flop since King George’s tea tax and as popular as dog crap floating in their punch bowl they are trying to get Obama as much separation from it as possible.

At the time the vote was being taken in the House, I posted a live thread about the “Obamacare” vote. FReepers much more powerful and smarter than I demanded the Mods change it to “Pelosicare” (and they prevailed. Thanks Mods, and you wonder why I love you so) before they got my thread stricken entirely.
So, folks, what should it be called? I’ve thought for years I was vindicated, but who am I but a speck compared to the Great Ones?
How about it? “Pelosicare” had such a ring to it, it carried all these years. Not like “Obamacare,” right?
A piece of crap by any other name, still smells like crap.
We will not know what it is called until we pass it, on to the poor bastards that will have to live with it as an entitlement.
