Good news: We've raised the minimum wage.
Bad news: We can't afford you.
But hey, at least they feel good about themselves, that's all that counts. The city council can slap each other on the backs and congratulate each other for such a fine job... The unemployed can sit around collecting benefits with an inflated yet undeserved sense of self-worth. All the while the rest of us will be subsidizing their health care. Is this a great Country or what!?
The left always wants to push the minimum wage higher because they are very well aware that market reality will eliminate the jobs that are not worth the new minimum wage.
They happily place the blame on "greedy, stingy employers" while purposely increasing the unemployable demographic. More government dependents = more votes for said leftists.
Liberals are as compassionate as vampires.
